I had ordered another one that had blue and red wires and was more expensive and although the page said it worked as a replacement part for my fridge it did not. This one is the correct one for my Maytag and the wire hook up was perfect. Unplugged fridges electrical wall service took out the old one by removing the three-units screws. Plugged in the pig tail extension on the new unit as weel as the fan blade. Before attempt to put in unit, I had to tap start the threads for the new smaller treaded screws, just a couple turn but if you do this first you won't end up fighting the screws under the fridge. Online they tell you to take out the aluminum support, but I chose not to and just place it back in and replace just the three screws. Tighten but just snug so you don't strip the housing out. Then place pig tail in away as not to touch any of the copper piping and snap in the other end connecting the fridges electrical system. Of course, plug in and test to make sure the system is running right, should be a lot quieter!!!. So, this is very easy, no way to get electrical confused and other then the starting the three screws first simple. Good luck
