I mainly use this selfie stick tripod with my Insta360 Go 3S, and it works well for lightweight action cameras like this. The compact design makes it super portable. When folded, it is about 12.5 inches long and easily fits into my backpack without adding much weight. At just over 300 grams, it is lightweight enough to carry around all day, which is perfect for travel and outdoor adventures. The height adjustment is done via friction, with no locking clamps or buttons. While it holds the camera steady for lighter devices, the telescoping pole does flex slightly with heavier cameras, especially when fully extended. This flexing is manageable and does not affect most shots, but it is something to be aware of when using the selfie stick at its maximum length. One thing to note is that the box itself acts as the instruction manual, with just a few graphics printed on the outside. It is minimal, but setting up the tripod and switching between the quick release connectors is mostly intuitive if you have used similar gear before. The magnetic quick release is a nice touch. It snaps the mount into place quickly and securely, and the locking mechanism adds peace of mind that your camera will not fall off.The tripod legs open to form a stable triangular base, which surprised me with how steady it is given the size. It holds up well on flat surfaces and feels solid when taking photos or videos. The grip is comfortable with a nice diameter, so it is easy to hold when used as a selfie stick. It is great for when you need a stable shot but do not want to carry a bulky tripod. Just be mindful of the friction extension when adjusting height, and avoid heavy cameras or accessories since this is built for compact action cams. The build feels sturdy for the price, made from aluminum that resists scratches well so far. There is no rattling or loose parts, which gives confidence in the product’s durability. In summary, the VRIG Pocket 3 selfie stick tripod is a compact, lightweight, and functional tool for lightweight cameras and casual users. It strikes a nice balance between portability and stability, and comes at an affordable price. If you are looking for a simple selfie stick tripod to use with small action cameras or point and shoots, this is a solid option. Just do not expect it to replace heavier duty tripods or support big cameras.

Portability:I love how light this selfie stick/tripod is. When fully retracted, it is about 12.5” long, easy to fit into a backpack. It weighs about 318g (depending which clip you use).Instructions and use:There are no instructions included inside the box. The exterior of the box has a few simple instructions. You can look at the product descriptions and photos for more info, but instructions are lacking and you are relying on intuition and common sense. There are two types of attachment. The 1/4” screw is a common attachment for many cameras. I like how the quick release connector is easy to use and switch between the attachments. I like the magnetic aspect of it too so it quickly snaps on. There is also a lock function to keep it secure. When you open the tripod legs, it is more stable than I expected for something this size. The telescopic pole is held by friction and you extend and collapse it with strength. There are no locking mechanisms for it.Weight limitations:Unfortunately the item does not give a max weight. I tried to put a professional full frame DSLR camera and lens onto it. I found that when the tripod is fully extended, the telescoping arm is not strong enough. With a heavy camera, it is top heavy and at a high risk of being knocked over by the wind or simply bumping into it. Not only that, because DSLR cameras have heavy lenses, this shifts the center of balance forward. This causes the skinny telescopic pole to bend forward. See photo as how it leans forward compared to the vertical door frame. Therefore, I do not recommend putting DSLR cameras or heavy items or anything that shifts the center of gravity forward (such as lens) onto this tripod. It was likely not intended for heavy items. On the other hand, this tripod works well for point and shoot cameras (with 1/4” thread) as the center of gravity is kept right above the pole. It would also work well for small hand held camcorders or GoPro cameras.Furthermore, for the extreme limits, with the right adapter (not included) you can also mount a flash. Once again being top heavy, try not to use it fully extended so it doesn’t get knocked over. But overall strong enough to mount a flash. For use as a selfie stick, you may need to also get additional adaptors to attach a smart phone. In conclusion, a useful small selfie stick/tripod combo. Some adapters may be needed.
