The AVH10 is one of Vornado's next generation of Whole Room Heaters. The modern styling on the outside hints at an enhanced design within - including Auto Climate Control to automatically adjust and maintain a balanced room temperature. While the heat output is enough to keep everyone in the room comfortable, the AVH10's exterior remains cool to the touch. Using specially tuned airflow called "Vortex Action", the AVH10 creates a twisting current of air that flows fast, warm and gentle - circulating the heat throughout the entire room using walls and ceilings as pathways. Dial in your comfort using the LED screen and push button controls to select between the 2 heat settings (plus a Fan Only option) and to regulate the power consumption between Low and High. A Vornado heater in the cool months will keep the room(s) you use most often feeling more comfortable — allowing you to turn down your whole home thermostat.

Don't get me wrong: this thing isn't so quiet that you can't hear it. But, it is significantly quieter than any other fan-driven space heater I've used. I measured it from about 3ft away at ~42 decibels. Every other space heater I've had at the same distance was more like 48-50 decibels. Some I think were even louder but I never measured them. At 42 decibels, you might turn the volume up on the TV a bit, but with other space heaters around 50 decibels, you really gotta turn the volume up in my experience otherwise you won't be able to make out what is being said.It's heating rating is spot on, as measured with a plug-in energy meter (~750W for low and ~1,500W for high). It heats my room (approx. ~150 sq. ft.) surprisingly fast. I would say it brings it from 68F to 75F in less than an hour without any special sealing of the room other than the door being mostly closed.Another difference between other space heaters I've used (especially ceramic ones) is how much air it moves. It really circulates the air and if you want to sit in front of it to warm yourself up, you'll have no problem.The only downsides I can think of are that it is slightly larger and heavier than other comparable space heaters, and of course costs a bit more. But so far it is worth it.If you truly just need a bit of heat at your feet while you work, you could go with a cheaper heater and probably don't even need ~1,500W of output. But if you want something nice that doesn't leave much room for improvement, this is probably it.

Have had this heater for about one year and suddenly one day stopped working. Nothing at all happened just wouldnt turn on. A little disappointing considering the price and it only lasting a year. I bought one before this and it lasted a year as well but figured it was a dud so bought it again. Guess it wasn't a dud but the product just doesn't last. Disappointed and hoping the company will do something about it as a 150+ heater shouldn't die within a year of use. Otherwise it's a good heater and works when it does work.

Muy práctico para una habitación de chica a mediana. No calienta el espacio como lo haría otro tipo de calefactor, sino que templa el ambiente y lo mantiene muy confortable, el ruido que produce es muy mínimo y no molesta, además, no noté un incremento que fuera considerable en el consumo de electricidad. El mejor calentón eléctrico que he tenido sin duda.

Have been using heater to warm our travel trailer when outside temperatures dip to 10’ C. This heater is very quiet and does not wake us during the night when it switches on and off. Keeps our trailer toasty.

The space heater is very easy to use right out of the box. It takes one minute to start using it after you open the package. It has a lot of interesting features, and yet it looks very simple. You can set the temperature really easy I never needed a manual start pressing the buttons, and it just keeps working I have now used this heater in several homes consistently for a period of three years and never had a single malfunction. I’m heavily dependent on this portable heater as it reduces my electricity bill substantially. It’s just not economical anymore to heat the entire home especially when you are confined to one location. nowadays with the working at home it becomes really important to make the home as comfortable as possible. You don’t want to be shivering while you do zoom meetings with your coworkers. I usually keep the door of the room open, and that would mean that cold air from the house may enter the room in the long run. This may work out better as otherwise, in a closed room the air can become too dry and by the time you wake up in the morning you could be dehydrated so I recommend you keep the door not completely shut. You need fresh air anyway and you would have kept the door open. Otherwise, if you did not have the heater..The space heater does not really make much sound at all. It does have a fan setting, but I rarely use it as if you don’t need it in summer seasons the fan is just not powerful enough to cool a room. They’re a lot better portable fans that come in the same size. Space heater is very light, and you can move it from one room to another very easily. It does have a safety shut off, so you do not need to worry about any safety issues. Often just make sure that I know in flammables or papers nearby just in case. And when you leave the room or the house, I suggest that you shut the heater just in case especially if you live in an apartment.. due to closed spaces that could be a danger keeping the heater on in apartments.This is a perfect gift to give a friend or family member in Christmas.

We live in an older home, and our youngest child's room sits over an open porch while also being the furthest room from the furnace. This room can get uncomfortably cold in the winter, and become unbearable for an infant/small child who can't have heavy blankets to keep warm. Since I don't want my kid sleeping in my room until they're a teenager, I needed to find a space heater that was effective and exceptionally safe. The Vornado was highly rated across nearly every parenting website that I scoured for child-friendly heaters. The "vortex action" airflow is fantastic at evenly heating the WHOLE room, not just blasting intense hot air at the one spot its pointed. Pair this with the built in thermostat, and you never have to worry about the room becoming an unexpected spa-and-sauna in your home The safety features are what really drew me to this heater, and they have surpassed my expectations. If the heater tips even in the slightest, it turns off. We haven't had to use the overheat feature luckily, but I have no doubt that it would work quickly as well. Best of all, it's truly not hot to the touch at ALL. This was one of the biggest concerns as both our kids are young and curious so we knew it was going to get little hands on it at some point, regardless of how well supervised they were. It's incredibly quiet when it turns on; we can't tell through the monitor when it turns on and off, and it's never once disturbed our child and woken them. We love this heater so much that we are getting rid of other space heaters and replacing them all with this. Well worth the money for all the features, peace of mind and effectiveness. Save yourself the headache of buying the $20 box store special heater that breaks (or burns) after a few uses and invest in the Vornado. You absolutely won't regret it.
