Got these for my sons since they have no ceiling fans in their rooms. They can tilt them and move the air around their rooms or have it blow straight over their beds. Can be noisy on HIGH but moves a lot of air quickly.

This is the best fan of its kind I have found. Moves lots of air. Loud on high but to be expected.

We now have 3, they are used in bedrooms for sleep noise and air circulation. They have worked several years without any problems. They replaced lesser quality fans that broke and were not fixable. Good value for the money.

Focused breeze that goes across the room. Noise is low with high volume of air and small size, off the floor and is amazing the cooling volume of air moved.

First, I use fans year round. I'd like to say "I need Air movement, really cools well, love it's small size"..yadayada...What I really need is SOUND...a lot of sound. Like land a b52 outside of my room..and not hear it 🤣. This small little fan makes a beautiful deep, consistent and non rattling sound. On LOW very quiet. MED moderately quiet (aptly) HIGH could take the paint off the walls. Don't look any further..this is the one for sound and air flow.

Smaller than I thought. Very loud but I like noise to sleep. So far no problems.

Hey all, I wanted to give a review and comparison of the Vornado 7803 large pedestal air circulator vs an 18" Lasko pedestal fan. I tried to find a comparison before purchasing the Vornado, but couldn't find one, so hope this helps.I've always used a Lasko 18" pedestal fan, especially at night time for bed. Although I was satisfied with the lasko, I knew there had to be something better, so I did some research and came across the Vornado 7803. I can say that the Vornado is MUCH better than the Lasko pedestal fan I was using.ComparisonThere are 3 settings on the Vornado. The medium setting on the Vornado is as or slightly more powerful than the Lasko 18" pedestal fan when it is on high. When you turn the Vornado on high, it blows the Lasko out of the water. The Vornado is so much more powerful on high than the Lasko, it's on a completely different level. If I had to guess, I would say the gust of air feels at least 3 times as strong as the Lasko. The difference between medium and high in terms of airflow on the Vornado is substantial. Also, the airflow of the Vornado feels like a concentrated gust of wind blowing at you as opposed to the Lasko fan which has a larger grill, resulting in a more spread out feeling of air. When it comes to noise level, the Vornado on medium is about as loud or just a tad bit lower than the Lasko fan on high. When you turn the Vornado on high, the noise level is very high, it sounds like a high powered engine lol, but it's a soothing sound. YOU WILL LOVE THE NOISE when it's on high if you depend on fan noise when you are sleeping. Personally, I use this fan and a yoga dome machine to cancel out the neighbors dogs and I sleep like a baby now. But like the airflow, the difference in noise from medium to high on the Vornado is significant. As for quality, the Vornado appears to be built well. I don't like the peg legs as they appear like they could break easily if you step on them, but maybe they are stronger than they look. Aside from the legs, the fan is built with quality. The only drawback of the fan is that it does not swivel, which I won't take a star off because I already knew it didn't. This can be annoying if you constantly switch spots and need to reposition the fan. With my Lasko, I just would swivel it toward where I wanted it.Overall, the Vornado is a powerful fan that will leave you more than satisfied, especially if you are coming from a cheaper fan like the Lasko pedestal fan. The Vornado is significantly more expensive, but it comes with a 5 year warranty and is more than worth it in my opinion. If you have a cheaper fan like a Lasko or different brand and are looking for more air, then I can highly recommend this model.

This fan is powerful! It blew the pillowcase off my bed pillow powerful! It’s a little more loud than a dyson fan, but 10x more powerful. I don’t mind the noise, I use it instead of my white noise machine.Dislikes: #1 complaint, no remote. At this price point I would have like to see a remote. I ended up using a smart plug with Alexa to control it. #2 complaint, it doesn’t oscillate. It’s powerful, and certainly moves the air, but I’d like for it not to blow directly on me 100%. #3 complaint, I wish it was a little bit taller. I use this for a bedroom fan, and I like the air blowing on my face. I have a taller bed, so I wish it was taller to reach my bed without pointing up at an angle.Overall: Even though I had 3 complaints, this fan is pretty amazing! I had my old Vornado for 7 years and it finally gave out. This is the only brand I would buy. I have the small fan in my office, the middle one in the main floor, and this one in my bedroom. It’s more cost effective and powerful than dyson. Even though the Honeywell brand looks similar, and more cost effective, it doesn’t compare in power. I’m for sure a loyal buyer of the brand, 100%.

Love this powerful little fan. We have been buying Vornado fans for around 8 years and love them. This is the smallest one we have had yet but the power behind it is amazing. On the highest setting, not only does it circulate the air really well but it’s quite loud which my family and I LOVE since we use these fans to sleep at night to block out noise. Medium setting still has good power and the lowest setting is quiet with subtle air movement which we will never use, lol. If you’re looking for or don’t mind a loud awesome fan, this is for you. Highly recommend.

It is a smoothly designed, small and powerful fan but it is very loud and the dial to control the speed is very weird going from off to full power, medium then low. The motor on mine burnt out and started smoking at the back instantly within 20 days of having it and it hasn’t been used too much either. Very concerning if you’re wanting to have a fan on overnight as you’ll wake up to the smell of a burning room.Real shame as it is a cool design but I do not recommend it for the price. Better off looking for a tower fan or even an ac unit.

After running nearly continuous for for seven months, it's still going strong. The fan is pretty quiet on it's low setting. Noise increases at the fan speed increases, which is to be expected. On it's highest setting, it's loud enough I wouldn't want to try sleeping in the same room, but that noise is mostly air movement. Also this fan moves a lot of air, even on the lower settings, so it's very rare I ever need to use it on high in a average sized room/house. There's no vibrations, squeaks or rattles. There are screws to allow the fan grate to be taken off for cleaning, however, the grates are pretty deep and on or off the fan are no very easy to clean. That said, with 7 months of use, they haven't collected a significant amount of dirt, so cleaning likely will not be needed often.I like that this version has a manual dial control, so it can easily be placed on a timer. (The versions with digital buttons will always default to off if power is removed.)My only complaint is with the pedestal. The fan pole slides in and clips in to the pedestal pole (much like an outdoor table umbrella set up). Unfortunately, at least with mine, the fan doesn't stay clipped in. While this is not a problem most of the time, it means you must keep the fan upright and carry it from the pedestal poll when moving the fan, or the two will become disconnected. There's certainly better ways for this connection to be configured.I've now owned six different Vornado fans this one is my favorite.
