I have been painting all the rooms in my home and I prefer to use a 4" roller. I couldn't find a metal or stiff plastic roller pan in the big hardware stores near me. All they had were the flimsy roller pan liners. I tried using 2 different ones - disaster!! I found these and am delighted. Although they are not heavy, they are thick and well made. I can fill it and carry it around with one hand. It has a cutout to hold the roller when you don't want it in the paint. Another bonus, it fits the tray on my ladder perfectly. I washed it out easily and can reuse it. I anticipate these lasting a long time.

These trays are perfect.1. They hold their shape while you are applying paint to the roller,2. the paint stays in the bottom part (doesnt tilt back when you lay the roller in the tray),3. it has deep grooves to get the paint off the edges of the roller, and4. the roller ribs in the tray are actually large enough so that a 4" roller can roll with paint on it!these are my new go-to roller trays for 4"

Used this for touch-up work and found it strudy enough to carry around with one hand while painting with the other.

I got these for a multiple step painting of some big trailer side boards. I'm using a one part marine urethane (solvent based) paint so the trays have to be resistant to the strong solvents. They are sturdy, with a good design, and well made. I can hold them by one end with one hand full of paint and they are stiff enough not to bend. The cutouts on the corners are handy to pour remaining paint out back to the can. They are the perfect size for my 4" rollers.

These are fairly rigid and cleanup easily. I will buy again-good value. You can use these as a disposable, but they will last if you clean them up.

Got the job done, very happy with purchase. For those jobs where you are good with using a brush rather than a roller. I used it for sealant, small deck. Hands and knees stuff.

I bought these because it looked like they had little pour spout thingies in the corners. So if I had extra paint, I could pour it back without a huge mess. I didn't actually end up pouring the paint back, so I don't know if it works well. However, I did like how sturdy these were. We were able to move them all over the playground map we were painting without any spills. With cleanup, I was happy that the paint we used mostly just peeled off the trays, leaving only a bit of paint to clean up. The white paint didn't clean off as well as the colors, but these were cheap, and worked way better than I expected.

Liked that these arrived quickly, clean up pretty easily with warm water and dish soap (darker paint did seem to stain these a bit, but no paint was left behind). Would buy again, but don’t think I will ever need to given they are so solid.
