Amazon said this part would fit. I ordered it and never put it on the car due to incorrect power plug. Pary would not work on 2015 VW Passat as it said it would. I sent the part back. The seller took the new part and I never received a refund. I will be following up with Amazon and my bank until this is resolved.

Check engine came on and decided to go with the cheapest repair options; gas cap and then purge valve. I have a Jetta S VW 2015 has about 78,000. I def recommend patience when changing and using needle nose pliers and a pix to loosen the rubber tubes. It took us about 30 to 45 minutes to take the old one off but placing the new one on was easy. Gas cap replacement still had check engine so ordered this and maybe after three or four days after purge valve replacement check engine came off!! Wooo thank you!! 33$ versus 160$ check engine diagnostics

My car had been throwing two EVAP related codes for quite some time. I thought it was maybe the gas tank neck, but I was chatting with one of my neighbors about how when I filled up the car just would not crank, and he says "Well, that sound more like the emissions control valve. This was the key phrase that lead me to several blog/forum posts all saying they were seeing the same codes and symptoms. Better yet, the replacement part was cheap and easy to get to, so sounded like it was right up my alley for self-repair.Things to note: The valve is right up front, at least it was on my 2006 Passat 2.0T. It took me a while to find it, but once I did I was curious why I hadn't seen it immediately. You will need something to cut off the metal clamps as they are not the style that come off for reuse. I used VERY small hose claps, the kind you screw to tighten back on, as this is what was recommended online to use as a replacement if you don't have the crimper to put the original style back on. I picked them up from my local hardware store.Getting the valve out was a bit of a chore, but once you get one side off it's super easy to get the other side off by twisting. Just be patient with the first one as you don't want to snap off the plastic barbs. The plug was especially tough for me to get loose as it's not super explanatory how to get it to release the clip. Getting the new one in is simply reversing the process.Anyway, after it was in I have had no more EVAP errors after I cleared them, and filling up with gas causes no issues with it not wanting to turn over. In fact after fill up it cranks right up like new!

Product was packaged well, matched the description and arrived promptly. High quality, good fit. Thanks for a transparent and efficient transaction. Had issues re-starting VW Jetta GLI 2007 after re-fueling. Plus, random burping noises coming out of gas tank. Both problems have disappeared. Working for 1 month now.

My sons 2008 Wolfsburg Jetta continually had problems starting after fueling up. This took me 5 minutes to change and immediately fixed the problem. It is located right in the top front of the engine so very easy to change once the air intake is removed. Also, if you are someone that tries to get every drop possible in your fuel tank..STOP. When the pump stops hang it up. Overfilling is what causes this to go bad. My car threw 12 codes when this was bad. All are gone now.

This Vapor Canister Purge valve was a perfect fit for my 2006 Jetta, was easy to replace the unit and took care of my intermittent check engine light.

I was having trouble starting the car after every gas fill up. It won't start on the first 3-4 attempts. After that, it started just fine, until next fill up.Some Internet research pointed this part as the most probable culprit. Replacing the part on the car is easy so I gave it a shot. One week after the part arrived and was installed I went to fill up. When done, the moment of truth... it started without any problem at first try!

Product arrived in good condition and installed/works as expected. Be careful before you remove the old one though: on my MK5 the in line had a standard crimp clamp on the line (easily removed/reset with pliers) however, the out line had a factory crimp on it which could not be reused. Remove the engine cover and check your setup. Go get yourself a crimp style hose clamp for the other side before removal of the old part if need be.
