I had had the Visosun bud trimmer recommended to me by a friend. I decided to try it and wow! It worked great! I got the 19 inch model. I think it cut down my trim time by two thirds. One of the reviews said to spin it ten times in one direction and then ten times in the other. I found 15 times one way then reverse for ten spins worked well for me. Gotta say, we are so impressed with this machine!

I bought this a couple of years ago now. I have used it for 2 trimming seasons, heading on to my third. I have always hated processing my plants. This bowl trimmer has changed everything. It doesn’t trim the buds as nice as I would like, but I don’t feel as miserable about plant processing, so it’s worth it in my opinion. It is however a huge pain to clean. The stronger the isopropyl the better for cleaning this. 70% isopropyl works okay, but if you can get stronger, it works much better. I process the buds while wet with the wet blade and put the buds in a netted hanging drying rack. I processed the buds dry the first year and was not really happy with my purchase at that time. The next year I processed my plants and my parents plants before drying them and was much happier with the result. It works much better if you remove as many of the large leaves as you can before processing the buds. It works best if you fill the tray with one even layer rather than doing it in smaller amountsThe blade replacements come in a little protective tube, which is nice.Definitely happy with my purchase.

I found this bowl trimmer to work really well, but there are several little tricks I had to learn before i got the groove down. Once i got everything figured out I was averaging 3-4 pounds an hour. There were no instructions for assembly which was frustrating.First off- do not even attempt to trim dry bud in this trimmer. They will get destroyed.I found this bowl trimmer worked the best when buds were 50% wet / 50% dry.Too dry and buds got destroyed from the fingers, too wet and the trim was not as nice and buds stuck together inside the bowl.Although frustrating at first, I now believe this trimmer was worth every penny. It literally saved me weeks and weeks of hand trimming. You just need to play around with the moisture level of your bud to find that happy medium. Once you do you’ll be happy with this trimmer. Also, when i found the perfect moisture level of my bud to work the best inside the bowl, there was literally zero hand trimming after. I did have to buy drying racks to further finish drying my bud after the trim.

This unit is huge first of all. Consider the smaller units if you don't have the space. Only instructions I received were how to use it, but there are several extra parts in the package. No explanation on how to assemble the unit. I know it seems king of intuitive, but they have a blade for wet trimming and one for dry trimming. Mine came with the wet blade on, but here was a cross piece that wasn't attached. I went to the manufacture website and watched a video and paused it, took a screen shot and figured out I needed to attach that piece. Also the blade can be installed upsidown, no indicator on which way to do. Might not matter, but I made it match the pic in the screenshot I took. With that said, once I got it together properly, I used it on fresh cut wet material and it worked well, really well. I used the rubber mat at the bottom to catch the trimmings. It did an excellent job. Maybe a little touching up with the included trimmers they give you, but could go without that as well. Now that I got it together, it's a great unit, just wish there were better assembly instructions and explanations. Any time you have extra parts without an explanation makes you think you did something wrong.

Everything I have purchased with the VIVOSUN name on it has been top notch quality and this bowl trimmer is no exception. For the price difference I chose the 19 with no regrets. The one negative I have found is minor, the handle could be stronger, it will bend with downward pressure which is generally unintentional and unnecessary. For those that complain about the job the bud trimmer does I would guess hand trimming better suits your taste and I get that, however hand trimming is very time consuming. As I legally grow for personal use only, I do hand trim some special reserve type buds but overall, the bud trimmer bowl does a great job, and you will learn as you go what you like. The amount of time per use or harvest this saves me is hours. For me wet trimming is much preferred, and I am very glad I watched this particular video of two dudes testing it for the first time and I was somewhat shocked at the chunks they basically were throwing in, very rough cut but their results sold me. After trimming with the bud trimmer bowl, you can further purdy up your buds by hand if desired. I generally turn 10-12 full rotations each direction fairly slowly and finish with a few clockwise rotations for good measure before checking results. Remember you can always take more off, but you can’t put it back on. As part of the learning curve all buds are not created equal and here is where adjusting speed and rotations are important.

I think this is a great product, it saves a lot of time and trims well, you may have to adjust the shim pack under the blade to get the length of trim you want, I would recommend this . Very happy with it.

It's definitely bigger than I thought it would be. The picture in the add isn't the 19" bowl, it's the 16" version. The 19" has 4 silicon fingers per arm not three' so I was expecting what was advertised. Very happy it's bigger than the pic, it trims much more at a time, The inclusion of the silicon pad is very welcome. Works fantastic, saved me hours of clipping and getting finger hash all over my hands and tools. I recommend Amazon updates their picture to the right product... It would sell more of them!!

I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but after running a dozen plants through I've already saved enough of my time to justify the purchase. Cut the buds of the main stems, drop them into the bowl, and give er a good 30 second spin in each direction. Not the most beautiful trim job, but certainly passable. I smoked one of the buds, and it was smooth and tasty not woody or harsh. In case you're worried about loss, from 12 plants I ended up with a little over 4 lbs of dry bud. I trimmed wet, and dried the trim (you'll want to have a large cardboard box to spread the trimmings over). Weighed, it was about 1 pound. I'd say maybe 10-15% might have been bud, the rest is all sugar leaf that previously ended up on the floor. Also, the 10-15% that ended up on the bottom probably would have fallen off anyway. After and during the drying and curing process, very little fell off. Almost no shake from the 4 pounds!Don't look at it as "lost 3/4 of a pound of leaf and 1/4 pound of bud out of 4 and 1/4 pounds" look at it as "saved 20 hours, mulched and dried all the small fan leaves and sugar leaves to make hash or oil, and the shake that would have been on the bottom of the bag is now with the sugar leaf where it belongs".

I live in Canada where cannabis is legal . I also have my medical license . I grew 23 plants this yr . Last yr I grew the same amount . It took me almost 2 weeks trimming in between my job to complete , This yr I was finished everything in 2.5 days . The one downside is you will lose crystal off the bud but it still get caught in the bowl where you can use it for baking or extraction . If you feel you can sacrifice some crystal the time and effort you will save makes this product a worthwhile buy .
