Great device that gives you an on-demand supply of distilled water. With just a little planning you have a daily supply of healthy water. One year of use has caused a pinprick sized breach in the base of the stainless-steel container. I'm concerned that as it continues to grow, may limit the lifespan of the device.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this water distiller! Its size is perfect for my needs, and I love that it's made of glass, which effectively collects the purified water. While you'll need to purchase charcoal filters separately, the setup process is incredibly simple. I'm already on my fifth water cycle, and it's working brilliantly. This distiller is exceptionally well-made and has given me zero issues. Here's a valuable tip: using hot water when you fill it will significantly speed up the distilling process. I highly recommend this product—it's a fantastic investment for clean water. Cheers!

Have to use Bartender Keeper to clean the sludge off the bottom of my last unit. Same as this one but it did last 3 yrs

This is great to have to make baby formula. I can free up my shopping for other things rather than constantly buying distilled water. Also, everything is glass or stainless steel - no more plastics! It is very convenient to make at home. I often put on overnight for even lower power cost, but not an issue in most places.

I had bought a very similar design years ago and it never pitted like this one did in the first few uses. It works fine and exactly like the other, but I wonder if the stainless steel grade is lesser quality to pit so quickly. I still recommend this product for an easy to use counter-top distiller. It's easy and convenient. I'm just surprised at the difference from the one bought previously, same product, different brand name.

With a little bit of preventive maintenance to keep it clean, this could easily become your best friend for distilled water. It’s great in a pressure canner, no residue. Definitely worth the money. Make sure to place the cap directly below the spout. It has a noise but too noisy. Water tastes great! I had no leakage problems. Buy one, you’ll like it

Reading some of the reviews before I bought this, I had some concerns. 2+ months later my wife and I are very pleased with this appliance. Fortunately for us, the water quality where we live isn't bad, so my experiences may differ from others. But one thing I do is, somewhat, meticulously, keep the inner container clean. I think maintenance here is critical for the long term functioning of this distiller.The appliance comes with a granular cleaning detergent and I use that monthly, but I've found that letting the container soak in a 50/50 water vinegar solution for a few minutes to an hour between cycles keeps the inside relatively free of scale. It also seems to make it easier for the monthly cleaning to get the insides near new condition.I have not experienced any leaks or other malfunctions and after 2+ months the appliance is still in great working order. We use it every few days since we like to put distilled water in the bedroom humidifier, it keeps the humidifier much cleaner and no extra mineral dust to worry about, let alone whatever other potential hidden things might be in the water we don't actually want to be breathing in.I wish I had bought this distiller sooner.

I got tired of buying distilled water for my CPAP and room humidifier. I got tired of wasting so many plastic bottles. I looked at several distillers on Amazon and saw a lot with mixed reviews, mostly that they leaked or rusted. I saw the reviews for this one were pretty positive so I ordered it. I mean it is Amazon so if it didn’t live up to the reviews it could go back. Well, it more than lived up. The instructions were simple. It was sent in a well packed box with no damage. It was simple to install the handle on the carafe. I filled it with hot water and we were off to the races. It took about four hours to distill a gallon of water. It was crystal clear. The fan is a little noisy but not enough to interfere with listening to conversations or the television. It does heat up the room a bit but that dissipates quickly after the process is complete. It did so well that I use it for water to make coffee and to use in my electric kettle. That saves my keurig and kettle from getting hard water deposits also. The distiller does get hard water deposits but once a month I use three tablespoons of the citric acid powder, fill it with water and let it heat up, without the top distiller coil mind you, and after letting it boiled for thirty minutes the hard water deposits disappear and the main body looks brand new, with the stainless steel all shiny again. I have made about 25 gallons so far with no problems at all. I really love this distiller. I highly recommend it.

Overall a good machine so far. I’ve put it through two cycles (one cleaning, one for use). Functions well so far. However, unless the litre measurement varies a bit from one country to another, the maximum output for this machine is three litres and not four. I got a full water bottle full after filling the distiller to the max fill line. I then emptied the water bottle to a 4 litre bottle (empty distilled water bottle) and it was not full. I measured the water bottle that came with the machine and confirmed the markings were wrong and it indeed was a three litre container.

Bought as there is a north american shortage of distilled water. Need for my CPAC.. if you full it with hot it is quit quick.. My water is very hard so it needs cleaned every 5 or 6 uses

The instructions were a little odd, especially the ones about the glass container that receives the distilled water. From the Ikea-esk illustrations, you cannot tell which way I'd right side up for the handle. The photo in profile on the front cover of the booklet make it clear. Then it says the cover on the glass container is fixed and not to pry it off, but to remove the lid, unscrew counterclockwise. The lid is 7 inches in diameter. You'd have to be able to palm a basketball to unscrew that lid. Other than the obvious silly stuff, it works great. I made my 2 throw away batches and my first keeper gallon last night. The fan is not so much loud as it is in the white noise range that makes it difficult to hear things on the other side of the unit from you. I bought the unit because we use a lot of distilled water. We have sleep equipment, a humidifier, coffee maker, iron and VERY hard water. Distilled water is $1.50 a gallon. This unit will pay for itself in 4 months, and no lugging water!
