I love the size of the product, not to big or heavy. I can carry up and down the stairs with no problem. They have to areas on it where you can easily grip it. The air comes out so cool, without you hitting the cool button. But if you choose to it feels amazing. The design is sleek looking and I didn't know it has a swing feature (oscillator) I slept so good last night. I ran it all evening and night and the water was still sitting in its tray. It comes with the ice blocks to make it cooler but you don't have to use them. I just sent the link to my sister for her to purchase too.

EDIT: I said I'd update this after I got some use out of it. It's easy to use and mostly hassle free. I do have one recommendation though. That is, get some potable water purification tablets or something. Keep in mind that you're going to be using water for refills and such, and I let mine sit unused for a few days and after using it again, even with changing the water it was kind of funky, like stale water in a fish tank.I cleaned it, washed it out and it helped, but how do you clean in the lines without dismantling it.So I got some potable water purification tablets and put it in the water container in the back. It worked great. Smells fresh and clean.A while back, my AC unit went out, and I just didn't have the money to replace it (it's out of warranty).I'm saving up to buy one, but in the meanwhile, the heat is on us and for a couple days it was almost 90 in the house. I don't mind it in the day, but at night when I'm trying to sleep? ugh! Misery. So, after shopping around for a while I decided on tis model, as opposed to a window AC unit, (no point since I'll have the big unit outside replaced soon enough. I ust needed something to keep me cool while I sleep). After reading the reviews I was prepared. I had enough cold water to fill the tank ready ahead of time. The set up was super easy. I filled it up with the cold water, turned it on. It took a minute to cool, (and the ice packs are in the freezer), but yeah. It works! Only been on a little while and my room is much cooler already.I'd imagine though that what people say is true. The water has to be cold and/or it needs the ice packs for it to be ice cold but I don't need it ice cold.I just need it to keep the room below the temperature of the surface of the sun while I sleep lol. It's a good buy. I highly recommend it.

Works great. Takes about 10 minutes for the ice packs to cool the water, but once it does, it does work. Not as great as an A/C unit, but does the job on those hot summer nights. My only complaint is that it is not as quiet as described, even on the lowest fan setting. The ice packs are about the size of a rubbing alcohol bottle. And you are going to need all 4 for those very hot days. I bought an extra set of ice packs so that I can run it cool for hours on end by switching them out. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because it's a bit noisy.

This summer I had a need for something that brought the temperature down in my living room. As I was babysitting my grandkids and two are babies. This worked great to bring it down to a liveable temperature.

This unit does not bring down the temperature in the room but with ice and blowing directly at you its great. It really cools me down and the wind blows pretty hard. The ice packs it came with defrost very fast and 1 already burst in the freezer, you need extra frozen water bottles to keep the water cold. The reservoir holds enough water for roughly 7 hours which is great. it does not leak. Its not too heavy and with wheels its easy to roll to other rooms. Remote is very handy and works well. Its not too loud and doesnt interrupt my sleep. Ive had it a month now and will be buying one for my daughters room soon.

The first one I received didn’t work right. It was great if you left the mode on the first mode, but if I turned it to either of the other modes it continually cycled off and on. Quickly received a replacement and it’s great! It was 95 outside today but the room stayed between 75-77 when I had it on low fan and the first mode. I would recommend getting more ice packs so you can recycle them in the water tank in order to keep the water cold. If you keep a window slightly open and the water cold, it’s as good as an air conditioner. (Understand this is not an air conditioner, but it works almost as good as an air conditioner in dry heat.). These will not work very well in high humidity since it puts more moisture in the air. The only negative is that I really can’t tell a difference between the different modes.

I wanted to love this for a very small upstairs bedroom that gets very warm in the summer. I’ve had a basic $10 oscillating fan but I don’t want to go another summer in a hot bedroom again. The first thing I noticed after powering on is the noise. Holy moly this thing is loud. Especially if you put it on the sleep setting. At first (with ice packs only) the air seemed cool and I was pleased. About 10 mins later the air turned almost stagnant. The room filled with humidity so it actually felt warmer than before I even turned it on. I tried adding more ice packs but that didn’t help. Also the pump which was connected by zip tie for shipping is very difficult to take out for cleaning purposes. I’d never pay this price for a fan so it’s going back. So disappointed.

This product...has a power fan it does has one set of moving vents that will move the air around more easily. It has casters for easy rolling so it can be moved to various locations. The "cooling" feature leaves a little disappointment. You fill the tub up with refrigerated cold tap water or both the refrigerated cold tap water and ice mix. You can feel the change. You feel the coolness in the air coming from the unit. However, this is very temporary, it has a pump that pulls the water up into the filter and then it flows back into the tank like a faucet. Therefore you water nor ice keep for short term, I say 15 min max. After that you really have to be sitting in front to feel any coolness. Hubby likes it thinks it worth the tending to for the benefit.I'm not sure how it would (or could) work differently, but if that water would not flow so quickly back into the container of "cold" ice and water the ice would last longer and you could longer cooling time. Even using the frozen packs they thaw in the same time, I believe it is just like putting them under a faucet and expecting the ice to keep. It isn't going to happen! But the husband likes it!
