A bit expensive but works well. Very easy to synch to my remote starter, but use a YouTube video, not the box instructions to do this.

This is the 3rd replacement viper remote I’ve purchased. Programming is relatively simple, there are guides on YouTube you can follow and takes about 5 minutes. From what I can tell, the range isn’t nearly as good as the original. It definitely works but be prepared to not have the same range you were used to with the oem remote that can reach about a 1-mile.The shell seems like it’s designed to fail. you have to pry it apart when the batteries need replacing and after opening it two times the plastic will likely crack (that’s what happened with the first 2 I purchased). All that being said, you really don’t have another option if you have to replace your viper remote and this is compatible. For the quality I think it’s only worth half the price if that but supply and demand will probably keep it that way

My remote had a short and could not be replaced by the company that installed it.I knew I would have luck finding one on Amazon. I matched the model # and it works perfectly ! My Viper remote works great again!

I wanted to replace the original remote that had a broken and missing back plate (a common issue with the discontinued 7251V remotes known design flaw) This replacement is a bit expensive, but overall it's a good deal, since the manufacturer charges over double the price for this exact same remote. After some initial issues with getting the car alarms control center unit into pairing mode, things went fairly smoothly after that. Configuring the remote to your prefered alarm functions is a bit archaic, with a bunch of different series of button pushing sequences, though. Not intuitive at all, necessitating the use of printed out charts from the car alarms user manual to get the desired results. Now, I don't have to deal with the old remote being gorilla-taped to keep the battery in place with it's contacts.I'm a happy camper now!

Ordered this to replace a dead key fob, rendering the alarm system useless. It took a few tries to pair with the vehicle but, has been working flawlessly since getting it paired.

These worked for my fob:1. Push F button until the red transmit button lights solid ~10s2. Push remote start for 1.5s until you get 3 flashes.3. Car door open key on accessory, not started.4. Press windshield button once and release then once and hold ( get a single chirp) while still holding button push lock button on fob ( get brief alarm).5. Release the windshield button ( get brief confirmation alarm). These units are better than the original one I had. Case can be a bit tricky to split open to replace battery is the only down side.

The 7254V remote replaces the discontinued LE 2-way SuperCode remote control for the 4204v remote start. Removing the remote from the package requires a pair of scissors but takes a few seconds. However, do not throw the packaging away because the programming instructions are on the label. The remote has a rubber coating for easier gripping and should withstand drops on the floor. I recommend reading through the instructions a few times before attempting the programming because the steps are timed and in a specific order. Fortunately, the key fob was synced to the vehicle transmitter on the first try. In addition, multiple Youtube videos provide step-by-step guidance for particular models.

I bought a Viper 5701 alarm a year or so ago and needed to replace the 2-way remote. The one included with the alarm was the older two-tone silver and black style (pn 7251). This is a huge improvement from the original, fixing my two biggest problems. It works flawlessly as a replacement to the original 2-way responder and I had no problems programming it.The first thing they did to improve the design was do away with the easily broken and ineffective backplate / battery door design which didn't actually keep the battery in place. On this one, the whole shell snaps together securely. Admittedly, the design makes it slightly more difficult to change batteries, however I would say that's an improvement over the previous design. The second issue they fixed was making the buttons a little more difficult to press, so you no longer accidentally hit the lock button getting the keys out of your pocked. Best yet, I can press only the unlock button even with gloves on, so in the winter I no longer hear the annoying screeching warning noise from slightly pressing the unlock button when I'm trying to lock. The button press has a nice firm click action that feels much better.Additionally, battery life seems improved as well, but that might just be from not having all the errant button presses and random battery door getting loose and having to go through the remote startup sequence jingle when it gets power again.
