Using this is a lot easier than having to reach up to the windshield to save videos, it's a lot more convenient. I saw some reviews complaining that you have to re-pair the remote to the dash cam every time you restart the car, but that wasn't an issue for me.

Easy to pair with the camera and nice to have action buttons closer to the driver. Action buttons are easily programmed in the Viofo app.

I bought the older version and it's been working flawlessly for me. Not sure why they updated the page with the new model instead of creating a new page. Kind of seems a bit deceptive.

Works well with the A229 DUO dash cam. I did have to update the firmware in the dash cam to get it to work. Pairing it to the dash cam was simple, just hold down the main button for a few seconds and it paired itself. The two buttoms can be configured to do different functions. I have one button set to take a photo and the other to turn the WiFi on and off.The dash cam is tuckup behind the rear view mirror so pushing the buttons on it is a challenge while stopped and damgerous if you are driving.The remote is small, would be nice it was a bit larger to make handling easier. I also having floating around my center console, I did not use the adheasive tape to fit to the my dash. Since the cam is constantly recording I don't feel the need to have instant access to it. It's nice to be able to easily lock down a video or turn the wifi on and off so i can download videos easily.

Setup was hit and miss on this. I had trouble pairing it to the camera and the buttons didn’t work. Also after a firmware update you have to pair it again. Once it’s working it’s great to quickly hit the save button

After using this product, I can confidently say it exists. It's like the Switzerland of products—neutral, unassuming, and doesn't take any risks. It didn't blow my socks off, but it also didn't make me question the meaning of life. It's like that friend who always shows up to parties but never really stands out. It's a master of camouflage in the realm of functionality. If you're looking for something to blend seamlessly into the background of your life, congratulations, you've found it. This product won't make you jump for joy or throw a fit of rage. It just... is. And as for how much I enjoy writing reviews for products when forced to by websites... Well, let's just say it's as thrilling as watching paint dry or listening to elevator music on repeat. Ah, the joys of fulfilling arbitrary obligations!

I hesitated buying this because honestly it’s freaking expensive. However, I received an extra battery with this one but how it was wrapped with a small ziplock bag I wondered if it was a returned product I received. But anyway since I got two batteries I guess $20 was so worth it.The remote is a size of a 25 cent(US) so be careful not to lose it or drop it while driving. I’m not a big fan of using the adhesive as it may leave a mark so I hold it while driving. I’m not even sure how you can change the battery when it’s sticking on the car. So the design is flawed, would be better if it has a band or strap so you can wear it on the hand.Tip:It’s hard to pair with my camera at first but when I noticed the cable of the camera is not connected properly and plugged it securely the remote paired.Make sure everything is ready and working before you drive. I have multiple experiences trying to capture an idiot on the road and the camera wasn’t even turned on.

This bluetooth remote for the viofo A129 duo plus works very well once it is paired together, the only problem I have with it is that when you finish driving the car, it will disconnect, you have to reconnect everytime you get into the car to drive, this is the reason that I'm giving it 4 stars, maybe in a future firmware update it could be fixed.
