I’m a professional cellist. I’m playing every performance with this bow. It reminds me my expensive French bow. Why would I risk the real thing in an outdoor performance, or in the opera pit with the idiotic stand partner next to me.I highly recommend it to all professionals.

Inexpensive student cellos often come with fiberglass Glasser bows and this is a huge step up. I bought one to have as a spare and to loan to students who may have forgotten their bow that day. After 4 years of minimal use it has expired, the shell slide under the frog is bulging out and I can no longer tighten it properly. So now I have the conundrum of buying a new one or attempting to get this one fixed. TBH I like it well enough I might just have a luthier slap a new frog on and get the rehair done properly. But likely cheaper to just buy another...(This will not replace a professional standard pernambuco bow, but holds its own very well for the price)

DOn't make my mistake if you need it for use with an NS Omni-Bass or bass cello. It's best to get an upright bass bow and adapt your technique which should work out about right. Otherwise, this very nice cello bow just may not work well for you on any of the bass instruments.

We bought this bow a few years ago for my daughter and it has been great, she loves it.A few weeks ago the white part that is the "ebony liner" started to peel back where the hair goes in (head mortise). It current is at a shop from repair. The repair guy has been doing this for 30 years and said he has never seen this happen, and the "inside" isn't put together right. He will try to fix it for us, because it is something new for him, a callenge. The repair will cost more than the bow, I would have bought a new one, but my daughter loves this bow, the feel and the look. That is the only reason I'm giving it any stars, that and it has lasted a little over 2 years.Maybe the one we got was defective?

L'ho comprato per mia moglie che suona il violoncello. A suo dire è di buona fattura e sicuramente vale i soldi spesi, attenzione perché viene dagli stati uniti quindi la spedizione sarà abbastanza lenta

Bought this bow for our great niece who totally loves it and said you could immediately hear the difference. She also commented on the lightness of the bow, much less fatigue in the arms.

I have just started using this cello bow and find that it creates a very grainy and sharp sound in comparison to my other bows. I expected as much with a cheaper bow, and only bought it based on reviews. All in all, knowing what I know now about the bow, with the experience of handling it, I would not recommend this bow to players who wish to get the best sound out of their instrument. And always go for natural wood!

Tried to get the bow rehaired but couldn't because the frog was gluded to it. Would of cost an extra 175.00 for the repair. If you're going to get a new bow just spend the extra money and buy it from a music workshop

I bought this bow for my son who plays in one of the advanced orchestra's at his high school (there are 4 orchestras at his school). This replaced the pretty standard wooden 'student-level' bow and by comparison is much lighter weight. His private teacher was REALLY impressed and asked for the Amazon link so that she could refer it to her students. She said that it was well balanced and has a lot of the details that much more expensive bows have. Because my son is also into cars, he loves that you can see the strands of the carbon fiber.
