Not all carbon fibers used in carbon fiber bows are the same. Depending on the manufacturing process, carbon fibers can vary greatly in terms of strength and elasticity. Therefore, the quality of the carbon fiber used as raw material is crucial to the performance of a carbon bow.
Boeing's latest aircraft use large amounts of carbon fiber in their structural components, 100% of which is supplied by Japanese fiber companies.
We use carbon materials from one of the world’s few suppliers of aerospace-grade carbon to achieve superior performance in our carbon fiber bows.
A Fusion of Traditional Craftsmanship and Innovative Technology
The bows of ARTIGIANI&VIOLIN are meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans.
At the same time, we incorporate machinery during the initial rough processing, which does not affect the final quality. We also utilize measuring instruments to assess the Young's modulus (elasticity) of the wood, allowing us to data-track the properties of our raw materials. This approach eliminates variations in quality, achieving high processing precision and exceptional cost performance.

Wooden Look, Carbon Performance
The AW-400 series is a hybrid carbon fiber bow, featuring high-rigidity, high-quality carbon fiber covered with Pernambuco wood on the surface.
It combines the appearance of a wooden bow with the strong resilience of a carbon fiber bow, while the wood-carbon combination reduces the characteristic noise often associated with carbon bows.
Furthermore, our research has revealed that brazilin, a pigment found in Pernambuco wood, lowers the bow’s tanδ (loss tangent) parameter, altering its vibration modes and greatly enhancing sound resonance.
For Long-Lasting Use
ARTIGIANO&VIOLIN bows are designed with a structure that allows for rehairing.
Even if the bow hair deteriorates after long-term use, you can continue using the bow for many years by having it rehaired.
All bows come with a bow bag so that you can easily bring them to a music store when it's time for rehairing.

昔より技術もこなれて来たし、下手なウッドボウより安定しています。演奏面でハイブリッドのメリットはそれほど感じないけれど、一見してカーボンに見えないので、目立ちたくない方にはおすすめ。基本的に楽器は試してみないと恐ろしくて買えないけれど、この値段なら初心者やサブ用途なら十分じゃないかと。
