Only hard part in setup was ensuring the slides were on the correct way after figuring our how to separate them. They have some kind of grease so have a damp cloth handy before handling other parts. The first drawer assembled must be the top drawer in order for the tip-over thing to work properly.

difficult for my son to put together, but he’s very patient and paid attention to detail and it came together perfectly. You just have to be very careful and I would suggest two people because he needed assistance at some point.Beautiful filing cabinet, I must say very stylish

I build these little furniture kits all the time. This is the first time that I’ve ever had the screws strip out using just a manual screwdriver, making it impossible to build with any expediency as I have to baby the screws. I wish I could return it but it’s already unpacked and I don’t want to deal with the hassle of packing it back up. So disappointed. I would not recommend buying it. It’s cheap.

Assembly of my two file cabinets was not simple - a few instructions were a bit complicated but all the hardware and materials were well organized and complete. The product is well made and very nice looking.

This cabinet was not terribly difficult to assemble...for me. The instructions could have been more clear. The pictures did not depict the correct placement of many of the parts. and the words weren't very detailed either. I have a bit of experience assembling furniture and happen to have knowledge on how filing cabinets should work so I was able to put this together without too much trouble. For someone who isn't experienced and is relying completely on the instructions, you may have more trouble.The cabinet is not very sturdy. It sways quite a bit and I am afraid if I have to move it more that 2-3 times, it will start taking it's toll on the fasteners. The doors do not shut all the way. After you shut them, they will slowly work their way open until the drawers are sticking out about 1/2-1 inch. The only way I can find to fix this is to lock the drawers. Since this is in my home where there is very little foot traffic other than me and my husband, I hadn't planned on locking them.All in all, I like the look but am not very pleased with any other aspect of this piece.
