Bought this for work and use it hard. Others have also bought these because they are great for working in tight places.

This is one of those tools that when you grab it out of the tool box, you think "Man, am I glad I bought this". It's tiny yet not flimsy and can get into locations not accessible to other wrenches. The bits stay put when snapped in and the back side of the ratchet is smooth so that you can press with a finger to insure the bit doesn't slip in the bolt. I carry one of these in my mountain bicycle emergency tool bag along with a set of hex drive metric bits that cover the range of bolts found on the bike. Some of these, like the axle bolts, are large and require a fair amount of force which is where the box end of the wrench comes in handy, while some are small requiring a light touch. This tool covers the entire range.

Paired with a Neiko 100 piece security bit set (No, the bit set is not as good as the VIM, but it's functional for 'odd bits' and hasn't caused issues with typical use), fits in the bit set case, and has gotten me out of a lot of pinches when you run into a weird bit need. Keep one in my work toolkit and one at home, and like everyone says... you can really torque the heck out of the non-ratchet end... if anything that's what really makes this such a versatile tool... it's a "breaker bar" for screws/bolts. It's also low profile... just kinda a no brainer to have.

Good solid forging. Feels strong and not much playThe ratchet has -~ 48-52 teeth, so there are more precise tools.

Have had this for over a year now, and it's still going strong. Perfect for my Leatherman addition kit. It is meant for small jobs in tight spaces. So far I am happy with this purchase for my uses.

I bought this for knife/multitool maintenance and for my friends 2000 Dodge ram. The climate change module thing stopped working and we didn't have any tool to get the screws out, since it's like a half inch away from the floor for the back screw. It was it to tight for pliers holding a bit, but this tool it was super easy. I bought a 2nd 1 for me and a 3rd 1 for my friend. It's really small, like the size of a finger small, but the box end can handle alot of torque and the ratchet side makes getting the screw out super fast and easy, in a tight spot. I wish the ratchet had more teeth and easier to spin, because once the screw is broke loose, the back drag is to much to operate the ratchet. In a tight spot, it could be hard to get your finger on top of the ratchet to manually spin it. That's the only thing I would change, but it's definitely a 5 star tool.

Well made and nicely finished. Really smooth and fine-grained ratchet action. Haven't had it long enough for an opinion on durability and I don't intend to test or use it to destruction. Firmly holds generic 1/4" bits as well as the double-ended flat bits and extensions by Leatherman. Does not work with Chapman bits, use Chapman's CM-13 ratchet for those. If using with flat Leatherman bits and the bit retention seems inconsistent, take a magnifying glass and strong light and look at the bit-holding detents just inside the entry end of the ratchet wheel. The detent wires are only on two opposing corners of the hex instead of all six making retention dependent on how the flat bit was aligned when inserted. That's fine for generic bits but a bit of a head-scratcher when the Leathermans keep falling out - but only sometimes. Overall a nice ratchet for working on small stuff and well worth the price.

Extremely small and so far good quality. I’ve been using it daily for a year at work and so far have not broken it. Most of its competition is overpriced oversized abominations so by virtue of not being that it’s a winner. I tied a wire loop through the non ratcheting end so I could do some speedy swinging with my fingertip, works great. Good buy overall.

This little bit ratchet goes where no other screwdriver can! I bought this little ratchet for working in tight places around aircraft electronics, and I can honestly say there's no tool in my box that can go all the places this little guy can go. The ratchet is fine toothed, smooth operating, and has held up to regular use. The thumb wheel makes it easy to advance the ratchet, as long as you don't have giant Shrek hands. It's so small that I can imagine it will break if you really torque it, but that's not what this little tool is meant for.If you work in tight areas with awkward angles and you need a ratcheting offset screwdriver, this tool, or perhaps the HBR5 ratchet also by VIM tools might be for you.The main difference between this tool and the HBR5 is that the HBR5 has a ratcheting bit side and and a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, whereas this tool has a ratcheting bit side and a non ratcheting bit side. I think that makes the HBR5 a bit more versatile, and if you had to choose just one I'd say that one would be the better choice. I don't personally use the non ratcheting bit side very often on this tool. That being said, I don't regret buying it, and I will probably buy the HBR5 soon too. It's always handy for me to have a tiny tool that can get in tight places, so a socket ratchet would be worth the thirty bucks they're asking for it on amazon.
