The blades and handles are well made. However the mount of the axe heads on the handles are loose. And the sheath/ holder's are no where near what's in the description or picture.

I got my first axe as a gift for Christmas. It will cut through firewood like a hot knife through butter. I loved it so much I immediately placed an order for another one. The second has arrived just as perfect! Quality, functional, design is beautiful, value seems exceptional. I would not hesitate to buy a 3rd.I bought the overstrike guards from Wiseman Trading

Alright I decided to write this because I see people on every different axe review talking about how they are loose. None of these axes you order come wedged. If you go buy one at the hardware store it comes wedged so the head won't be loose. It makes them less attractive looking so most axes won't have them so that people buyi g them can use them as a decoration. A loose axe head is never a signed of poor quality. It just means you have to wedge the axe head. You can buy these at any hardware or fleet and farm store. Hope this helps you folks that have never used a hatchet before.

I bought this as a gift and got to look it over. This is amazing. It looks just like picture. It does have a steel head and has some weight to it. I am unsure if this is ment to actually be used. It seems more like a display piece or for a ren fair costume. For the price you pay this is great quality. Id gladly purchase again.

The head could be be a tad lighter. Great craftsmanship. A belt holster w/ring along with a bit cover and a nifty lil crafted neck blade with a nice lanyard and cary case. Over all the craftsmanship is great for the price. Made in Afghanistan if that's an issue to anyone.

It’s beautiful without the engraving the Ashwood handle is awesome. The only thing I didn’t like is, I would prefer to have a real letter handle, but it’s really good quality very sharp.
