The battery life is related to the frequency and length of use of the product. If the frequency of use is high, and one-time use long, the battery life will be relatively short.

First off, a couple of these flashers didn’t work right out of the box. However, they are a good option for temporary use rather than permanent placement. The batteries drained within a few days, making frequent replacements inconvenient. That said, they are highly visible, and I appreciate that they offer three different flashing modes.

These lights work just as shown, powered off a pair of AAA batteries. The battery life is decent. My principal use for these is with a set of jumbo demonstration components, acting as giant LEDs in a large prop breadboard. I replaced the batteries with 4mm banana plugs that connect to sockets in the breadboard. I also opened up each light to bypass the switch and the controller chip (I haven't been able to identify the IC that is used). That done, they make almost perfect prop LEDs at a lower cost than anything else I have come up with.
