Your cart is empty.Vibra-TITE 541 High Strength Retaining Compound is a single part, high viscosity, high strength anaerobic resin used for bonding rigid assemblies of all types. This material can be used effectively to increase the strength of most mechanical assemblies. Vibra-TITE 541 can be used in a broad variety of applications such as Locks keys and splines, Eliminates backlash in worn assemblies, Locks bearings in place, preventing spin out, Bonds rotor to shaft in low horsepower motors, Locks bushings and sleeves in housings and on shafts, Restores the fit to worn assemblies or out-oftolerance parts. This high viscosity product is not recommended for extremely close or interference fits. For large gaps, use of Vibra-TITE primer to ensure a fast, full cure is advisable. Ensure parts are clean, dry and free from oil and grease before use. Product is normally hand applied from the bottle onto parts. Properties of uncured material are low toxicity, 100 percent solids, Viscosity at 25 degree C, cP Brookfield RVT, 1370 Spindle 3 at 20 rpm. 24 hrs at 72 degree F Full Cure Time. Static shear strength was measured on cylindrical parts with a 0.002” diametrical clearance. Product should be stored in a cool and dry location at temperatures between -10 degree C to 30 degree C. Optimal storage is 22 +/- 4 degree C. Shelf life is 18 months from date of manufacture when stored at 22 +/- 4 degree C. High Strength retaining compound recommended for diametral gap distances up to 0.015'' to augment slip-fits. For rotors, shafts, impellers and splines. 3000 Plus PSI Shear strength. 1.11 Specific gravity. T Suggested primer. 50 ml Bottle.

This product is cheap and worked well. It was easy to use. I put it on my Raceface Cinch chainring and crank arm that had an annoying creak with ever pedal stroke. This solved it immediately and has worked for over 2 years.

This stuff works! I have used thread lock before (Blue ) but this was the first time using the green. This product is very strong. I had to remove an axle bearing from a spindle that I used it on and I needed to heat it with a propane torch to be able to remove it. The heat breaks down the locker for removal. Just dont use too hot of a torch to avoid heat damage of the parts. Slow and steady is how I applied the heat. Testing with a bearing puller as I went until I could pull it off. Don't overheat the parts or you will damage the temper of the shaft or the bearing.

I had a saw bearing whose fit was sloppy in the hole. A little of the magic green goo and it locked it right in there.The only criticism I have is that the difference between products is unclear, both here and on their website. I *think* this was the appropriate formula for my needs... and it worked... but I still can't say for 100% sure whether one of their other products would have been a better choice. :/
