Thick and greasy. Don't get it on your clothes or tools. Wear disposable gloves. Spread it all over the conductors and lugs, don't be shy. When you're all done you will sleep easy. Works on copper and aluminum. Read the instructions and label.

When I received the tube the base of the tip had cracked slightly, and I didn’t notice, so when I squeezed for the first time it came out the tip and the base/side of the tip. Pretty annoying. Seems to be the design of the cap. It is large and wide so it’s great for storage but if there is a mild amount of sideways pressure on the cap it may break the tip. The actual paste works very well though! Enough to last me a long time

Easy to use tube doesn't make a mess. This stuff is great for automotive battery posts to increase the connection and prevent corrosion. It is also great for attaching connectors to the end of stranded welding lead. It makes it no problem to take ends off later and keeps them from getting burned up by have high resistance from a poor connection. A must use if your leads are used outside where they can get wet.

Very useful - goes wherever I go. Big tube will last for many, many projects. Dry connections are always susceptible to oxidation unless they're cranked down REALLY hard. Obviously there are all kinds of connectors that attach rather lightly, or have connectors that slide against each other. That's where this comes in very handy.Of course, as another reviewer mentioned, liquid connectivity is a double-edged sword, so use it sparingly and with caution where there's danger of it causing shorts. The grease may also make parts more prone to picking up dirt and grit than a dry connector, which could make it less suitable for certain applications. Be advised: It can also be pretty messy and stain things.

Ever had a light bulb that was hard to unscrew from the socket? With the high heat and base metals in a bulb and lamp socket, oxidation is common and can make it hard if not next to impossible to unscrew a burned out bulb. I wipe a small amount of this on the threads and it totally prevents any seizing, making replacement a smooth operation. It also works fantastically on torch lights. I have 6 of them in the shop and house, ranging from 100-300W. Every one of them eventually began to operate erratically due to corrosion in the bulb socket, sometimes you could hear arcing when you turned the lamp on. After a little cleanup I put a small dab of OX-Guard in the socket and a light coating on the bulbs. No more issues after 6 months of use! The suspended zinc particles helps maintain a good electrical connection; no more arcing sounds. A little of this product goes a LONG way, I got the 8oz tube and it will last me several lifetimes. The 1oz should due fine for the average homeowner.
