Worked great! I didn’t think my player looked bad, but after running this through it was noticeably better. It’s really cool that people are still making stuff like this to service old tech.

When I installed the head cleaner into my player, within seconds it would shut off the player. Request refund from seller.

This VHS Head Cleaner from Zoravell is a must-have for anyone looking to maintain their VHS VCR players. It's hard to find anything related to VCR's these days needless to say, so I appreciate the few products that are still circulating out in the world. This head cleaner is a dry cleaner, so it's well reusable and doesn't require any liquid cleaner. It helped clean my VCR player and gave me better playback quality with fewer tracking issues. It’s easy to use (just pop it in) and is a great way to try extend the life of your old video tapes and keep your VHS player in top condition. Recommended to anyone.

VHS Head Cleaner for VHS/VCR Players Tape, Dry Technology Reusable Video Head Tape Machine ToolHonestly, it’s hard to evaluate whether this is working or not. I won a VHS/DVD recorder at an online auction. I wanted to convert some of our old VHS tapes to DVD, but I was afraid to put some of the tapes in without cleaning the head first. I got this head cleaner for that purpose. I used it on the VHS and played some old tapes and they work just fine. I can’t say for sure that it’s because of the head cleaner though. One thing I know for sure is it didn’t hurt, and it seems to be just like any other dry head cleaner I’ve ever used.

I still have hundreds of old VHS tapes, among them irreplaceable home videos of family and so forth. Over the last ten years I've collected as many VCRs from thrift stores and am happy to have amassed about a dozen of them, hopefully enough to carry me through the process of converting everything I want to keep to digital form (thankfully the tools to do this are more affordable than ever). I worry though that the VCRs will eventually wear out because who knows how long they've been sitting or how poorly they were taken care of. This cleaner seems to be a good solution. It does its job without liquid solution which is good because that gets messy and the tiny solution bottles can be easy to use. The VCR I tested this cleaner on wasn't especially gunked up so I hopefully won't need to exhaust the suggested limit of 50 uses, and the results I've gotten from the first test was positive. I probably haven't ever needed to clean a VCR more than a couple dozen times so hopefully this cleaner will be all that I need, and given the low price it would be quite easy to get another. So far so good!

This is an excellent head cleaning tape for VHS VCR players. Has worked with in initial use. I will update this review if needed based on further experience.

Seems to be the same build and tape that cleans the head that I have used over the years. It is a dry cleaning, no cleaning liquid. The tape works as described and pictured. Comes with instructions and states it can be used 50 times. I would suggest not testing that out on the heads of one VHS machine as the the tape that cleans is an abrasive material.

VERDICTRecommendedWHYSince VCRs are not produced anymore, good maintenance on existing stock is important. Gotta keep that head clean - so far this product does the job as part of the periodic maintenance routine.
