I usually buy these little stools from Harbor Freight, and they're definitely junk, BUT they don't cost much and the use I get out of them is pretty good. They last long enough, so I don't mind buying them every year or so. I thought that I would pony up and buy this one, because it looked pretty tough. So instead of a $20 stool, I bought this one for $75. I haven't used it until just recently, and within a couple hours, ALL four wheels broke off. Tried welding them back on and the metal is so thin it's almost impossible AND I'm a welder. So I had to use some 1" square pipe and make a new bottom, so I could attach the wheels so they wouldn't break off again. Then to top that off, the up and down portion stopped working. Now it's permanently in the lowest position. SO, for a stool that cost $75, I can't believe how cheap the construction of this stool is. For something that I hadn't used until recently and hasn't been abused. Mainly because it was still in the box until 6 months ago. So in summation and since I can't use profanity, this stool is a piece of excrement.

I use this chair every day at work easy to assemble very comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. Great price for a garage chair or working chair. I like being able to adjust the hight depending on what I'm working on. Functions perfectly I love the look of it. Now everyone at my shop has one now. Would be cool if it came in different colors but other then that Great product.

I had purchased this seat six months ago, and very pleased with the robust looking seat. My son and I are both over 6 feet tall, so I wanted a seat that without out-perform most other seat and I was willing to pay for it. I thought this was the seat but today I have been sorely disappointed. Now I realize the wheels are attached with a very thin weld, and certainly not worthy of the advertised, weight limitations.

My husband recently underwent a below knee amputation. Beforehand, we were discussing options for his mobility around our house while he heals and before he is fitted for a prosthesis. He has shoulder injuries so really struggles to use a walker. I mentioned our garage swivel stool, but it was too small and unstable for him to transfer on/off. In searching Amazon, I came across this product. It is perfect for his use: there is a large, sturdy seat with a small back area, it swivels and rolls well on wood floors and low-pile carpet (we put down a desk chair mat in the one area we have pile carpet), it has adjustable heights so, for exampl,e he can reach the (lower) toilet then the (higher) sink, and it even has locking wheels so it will hold position during transfers to other seats. The handles make it easy for me to lift up to another level of the house (although I am buying a second one so each floor has its own). It even has storage and cup holders underneath so he can move items as well as himself. The visiting nurse, OT and PT were all impressed with how well this rolling chair worked for him. He loves it and is so happy to have more mobility than he expected. UPDATE @ 3 months: Unfortunately I need to downgrade my review. As other reviews noted, the castors did not hold up with daily use. We’ve found ball bearings all over the floor and the stool obviously then doesn’t roll as well. We ended up buying new, more sturdy swivel castors (expensive but worth it, for our need) and now it rolls perfectly again.

Overall these are decent shop stools for the money and I'd buy them again if I need more. That said, I bought two of these and each had a challenge with some of the parts (appears to be an issue with the manufacturer quality control process). The first had a standard hex nut for the casters and it screwed down okay but with the way the bottom of the foot is designed, there's really no way to tighten it down without adding some washers on the top and bottom so the hex doesn't have a big gap between. The second stool came with cap/dome nuts instead of hex nuts for the casters so it's not even close to tight (pic included). If I use them as-is, the angle of the caster is going to break the weld on the bottom like some of the other reviews show.I’m not going to bother sending them back just due to that so I'm using them without casters until I have time to run by the hardware store and grab some other parts to make them work.A better design would be to either have the hex nut for the caster welded to the inside of the foot so you can just screw it in with the little wrench it comes with OR to have a round hole on the bottom of the foot (the size of the caster bolt) so you can at least tighten the nut on the top properly.

I received my VEVOR Rolling Garage Stool today. I was hoping to use it this week. Not gonna happen. The threaded holes in the base for the wheels/casters to screw into are not threaded all the way. The casters cannot screw in more than 1/4".I don't own a tap and die set, or I'd just finish tapping the holes myself. I am not gonna buy some tools that I may never use again just so I can assemble an 85 dollar stool. So, my "Rolling stool" does not roll.I have ordered a replacement, and if it is better (or worse) than the one I received today, I will edit this review. For now, I am not very impressed. However, the rest of it seems okay. The seat feels like "Little Tikes" toys. Hollow plastic. I'd rather have that then some cheap padded vinyl seat. The padded vinyl seats usually rip, tear, or split at the seams in my experience. This looks like it will last longer. The red plastic base seems sturdy enough. The can holders seem pretty weak. I don't know if I'll use them. The wheels/casters look VERY nice. It looks like pebbles and slightly uneven surfaces won't be a problem for them.To sum up: If I could have the wheels on the stool I would be happy. What rating would I give? We'll have to wait and see after I get a chance to use it.
