I have never had a problem using a sewer snake before this one. I ended up buying another sewer snake at a local store to fix my sewer line. I would like to send it back and get my money back

I hurt myself using this machine when I got caught in the auger after it started to ravel. It happened very quickly. I suffered a tear in an arm tendon. I ended up hiring a plumbing company to clean the drain. I won't be using this machine again.

City flushes sewer lines in my area often and plugs the end of my lateral. To date have spent $1000's on plumbers. Clogs are at 70 feet out. The reviews stated cable winds up in pipe, so i new i needed the 3/4 rigid cable. $600 seems a little high to me for a machine as poorly / cheaply designed as this but the alternative is twice the price. Not making a living with it so it should do for the average guy. Its clumsy and all of their stated appx. 200Lbs. The handle was too short for the leverage you need just to move it around. I suggest you get some square stock and add about 2 feet to the handle.

Sarà fatto a posta?! Mah… A pensar male…

Máquina bastante robusta, tambor onde enrola a mola, não faz o devido enrolamento.Mola fica varias vezes presa dentro do tambor, que faz com que a mola não saia.Para o valor do equipamento longe de compensar o investimento.

I bought the 3/4" model because my sewer problem is always the main line to the street. The unit arrived more quickly than scheduled. It was nicely packed though the frame which accepts the handle was damaged but could be bent back with pliers. With no damage to the packing it must have left the factory that way. The assembly instructions were incomplete, The larger lock washers went somewhere on the wheels but I've never figured out where the shorter bolts and lock washers go.The unit weighs 180 lbs (!!!) and though I'm 71 the machine and I made it down the basement stairs. There are some videos online which can give a bit more confidence in using the machine but the most important fact is in the instructions: keep one hand on the cable and the other on the direction lever. Once you hit an obstruction the cable starts flopping and kinking and within seconds and you need to throw it in reverse (with the lever, not the switch) or the cable will become an angry, flopping, knotting piece of steel. The first time this happened the cable pulled the glove (WEAR HEAVY GLOVES!) off my hand with the glove finger tapped in the knotted cable. It would have been very serious for my finger.I bought the 2" clog chopper because in one of the videos one of the supplied tools broke in the pipe on the first use. Even with the clog chopper roots stopped progress and it was necessary to quickly back up and attack again and again. The most frustrating part was that it appeared the cable was moving forward but in fact it wasn't. Since the cable is spinning it looks and feels like it's going in but it seemed common for progress to stop without any indication. I think the cable becomes disorganized in the drum. The reverse switch seems to be the solution. A few seconds in reverse and the cable tidied itself. I found doing this every once in a while seemed to help. I was afraid the clog chopper would wear a hole in the pipe during these subtile pauses. It took a few hours the get the cable through as far as it seemed to go. The main is open and I plan to do this a time or two a year to keep on top of the roots and it will hopefully be easier that way.I think if you're dealing with your main drain line the smaller cable would be pure frustration and you'd probably ruin the cable. The 3/4" is an expensive monster but for roots it's probably worth it. You may not want to spend the money but I think the sewer guy I used had at least a one inch cable so I think bigger is really necessary for this job.

This auger was able to clear the first two jobs BARELY. First job the head unscrewed somewhere into the sewer and thankfully never had any issues. Dealt with the drum tangling up and twisting in a knot for the last two jobs. Last job I had to tell customer to phone someone else and wasted 5 hours of my day on a 4” sewer that was plugged. Once while pulling the cable out I had found it twisted up INSIDE the sewer. This auger should say it is designed for 1-1/2”-2” pipe because my hand auger is 3/8” and REFUSES to do 3-4”.Wish I never bought this tool as I am now covered in effluent from wrestling around 20’ of cable that was bound inside the machine. The experience has left me no longer wanting to offer that service in my area and I will pass it on to someone with a proper rigid.

I own a restaurant. There was a major stoppage beyond the building in the sewer main. I found the Vevor auger on Amazon. Its price was very good with solid reviews. Why I never opened. The clogged sewer pipe was cleaned out by the city maintenance team. The foreman gave me great advice. When I told him I had ordered the auger he said it wasn’t a great idea to use them under ground. If it should break or get stuck in there it would cost around $30k to fix because the ground and street would have to be dug out and removed to get to the pipes. I have other smaller ones which I’ll still use in the building but I’ll never use one to clear out my sewer main and definitely won’t try to clear the city sewers on my own.
