This is amazing. It doesn’t take much oil and you may overfill it the first time so beware. Fired right up on the first pull. I think the choke and fuel adjusting pictures are incorrect but that’s simple. My package arrived in one day but the package was damaged and the wheels inside were demolished. I had to go through the Vevor website and get a replacement which came from China so about two week wait. But it was no hassle. This is a great purchase for the price and warranty. It compacts excellent.

Set this up and used it pretty heavily this weekend. Assembly was fine; the manual was not super helpful, but I figured it out just fine. There’s a great YouTube video too. Ran good on D1 gravel and did what it was supposed to do. I have pretty low expectations considering the price point, but I was pleasantly surprised.Only negative is there are several spots with unpainted steel. A couple months in the shed and they are already visibly corroded and rusty. Will be keeping it in my garage from now on.Frankly, it’s already paid for itself, considering the cost of a rental. So that’s win-win!

Happy with it so far (about a year in). It does have a fairly small margin of error for too much oil or not enough. You have to push the handle down far to lift the machine up and onto it's rear wheels.

Box arrived in extremely poor condition with the bottom barely attached. Packaging needs to be redone. Upon opening the remaining box, found both wheels completely destroyed, about 5 parts each. Contact the company, waited 24 hours for a reply. Reply - sending to another department, waited 3 more days. That is not what was expected. Should just return item as defective - cost them much more time and money.

It is a very good buy, great performance so far compacting lime base, pea rock. Upcoming asphalt project will be the true test. Easy to use.

I have bought plate tamps that were 6 times the price of this one in the past and can honestly say after using this one, I wasted my money on those higher priced brands. This thing works great. Starts on first or second pull every time. As with all vibratory tamps it struggles with wet clay, but on dry dirt and crusher run, this thing absolutely does the job. I could not be happier and at the price point it is one of my top amazon purchases. Don't let the negative reviews about the exhaust guard vibrating loose sway you, they all do that. I have never owned a tamp that the exhaust cage didnt vibrate loose on.
