About this item

  • The base is made by bending and welding sheet metal, and reinforced welding is added at the bottom, equipped with anti slip foot pads. The Z-axis is a widened 2040 aluminum profile, which provides sufficient strength when the structure is pressed down. Three large V-shaped pulleys are tightly matched with the 2040 aluminum profile, and only one V-shaped pulley needs to be adjusted to clamp the aluminum profile. The metal tension spring can be used repeatedly without deformation, and it is easier to adjust the insertion height by hand tightening the nut
  • The digital soldering iron supports automatic voltage conversion of 110V/220V. Long press the # switch, with a temperature range of 180 ℃ (356 ℉) -500 ℃ (932 ℉). Long press the+- button to continuously adjust the temperature, and comes with a soldering iron tip and silicone protective cover
  • Insert Tips M2 M2.5 M3 M4 M5 M6 (1/4) M8 can match the electric soldering iron of ceramic tube D4xL24 on the market
  • It can be used fo including PLA, PETG, ABS, PPS, PP, and more, this Machine find applications in 3D printers, electrical molding machines, automotive plastic shells, and laptop molds Threaded Inserts

Design recommendations

We suggest that the depth of the hole position is greater than the height of the nut, and the screw will better bite the nut. Therefore, our Tips design is longer than the height of the nut, so that the heating is more uniform.

Love this little press! I do a lot of 3d printing for work and home and this item has made it Soo much easier to add threads to my prints! I have also used it for camera base repairs, speaker mount repairs, and for adding threads for electrical boxes in automated items. Definitely worth the money, and very well.contructed with extruded aluminum rails. Item heats up fast and is pretty accurate.

I'm putting together a Voron 2.4, which seems to require a gazillion heat inserts. I bought this to make my life easier, and ensure the heat set inserts go in straight. For the most part, this has worked well and been a timesaver, but there was some tweaking involved.Easiest way is to do this as pros and cons:Pros:- Easy to put together.- Wheels on 2040 extrusion work well once you tighten up the eccentric nuts correctly. I'm familiar with this already on my old CR-10S.- I like that you can easily adjust the height of the spring. Some parts are short, some are tall. I find that pulling against the spring makes it challenging to do the short pieces, so I like that I can adjust that spring location with one thumb screw and move it down to reduce the spring tension for the shorter parts.- Soldering iron works okay. No, it's not awesome, but for heat inserts it works just fine. I had to go about 10C hotter than I did on my main soldering iron (I'm running it at 250C for inserts into ABS, could probably go a little hotter).- I've had no issues with the soldering iron coming out of the holder. It seems solidly in there.Cons (reason for 4-star review):- "Verticalness" (squareness) of the soldering iron itself. The physical components (e.g. base and extrusions) are square. However, the soldering clamp is a bit iffy, as the clamps hold the iron on the rubber area instead of something that is solid and square. After building it, I eyeballed the iron with a machinist square. The iron was square in one direction (across the bed plate) but off a few degrees in the other (looking towards the vertical 2040 extrusion). I shoved some wire as a "shim" on one side of the mount to make it more vertical and not angled. Still not perfect, but good enough.- Although the included heat set insert tips do work, I found them to be a little tight in the inner portion of the heat set insert. I preferred my old heat insert tips, as those have a little more tolerances and aren't as tight in the heat set. Frankly, this is probably just personal preference.Overall, I'm happy with it and have been successfully using it for my build. It is nice to not have to worry about keeping a soldering iron straight and steady in your hands to ensure a straight heat insert. Just make sure the iron is actually vertical before you start with those gazillion heat inserts.....

A parte estan robustas.

Well built, although the instructions are next to useless.Dual voltage soldering iron supplied. Some are reporting it not working, perhaps not holding the button in for long enough? Heats quickly and no issue putting M6 inserts into petg.First one was lost, so I was refunded. Second one arrived quickly. Will be put to work often, looks like it’s up to it.

Works wonderfully, assembly was a little confusing. The steps are listed on the store page and come printed in the box, take note that they look like1,2,36,5,4This threw me a bit. It also came with an extra M5/Tnut which I was confused on what step I missed. Otherwise, this seems like a well machined piece of equipment, and I believe it'll last a long time. The included iron heats up incredibly quickly and has temperature control that my other soldering irons don't - helps to create as little smoke as possible. It's super easy to get straight presses now, in a consistent manner. I was able to press several in a row without tons of re-heat time in between. It's light, but also has some weight which makes pressing a breeze. It comes with the tools you need to assemble as well, so it's a full kit. The best part is that it also includes the heat insert tips! If I had realized, I could've saved some money on a different set I bought. However, the tips I bought fit this iron as well, so I'm not out anything. Finally, it came with a plastic cap piece that's not in the instructions; it goes on top of the vertical tower to cover the exposed aluminum and give it a finished look.Great price, great tool. Would definitely recommend and would buy again if needed.

Das Set scheint stabil, ist mit dem Lötkolben in der EU aber nutzlos.

The press went together in under ten minutes. The directions were clear and straight forward especially if you’ve worked with these aluminum extrusions (eg assembled a 3D printer like an Ender 3). The bottom stop is a great feature to set the depth before heating so you don’t need to guess and can quickly set the threaded insert and not risk deforming the 3D print.Addressing a couple of the issues I’ve seen in the negative reviews:- It shouldn’t take anyone more than a few seconds to determine what temp to set the soldering iron to. The extrusion temps for various materials and filaments are printed right on the box. Just set it somewhere in the middle.- the slide assembly is identical to every 3D printer on the market. Mine came perfectly adjusted to the extrusion with no play at all. The kit comes with a wrench to adjust the one wheel and set the tension to your liking.- I don’t know if the older versions weren’t balanced properly but I have tried several times to get this press to tip by just pressing down on the handle but it won’t. If you’re holding a part steady, I don’t see how that would be possible with additional weight on the base.- the soldering iron has some adjustment in the plastic mount and the the T nuts, so once everything is assembled, you can level it perfectly with the base to avoid crooked inserts. Most 3D printer owners who have a need for this press will already understand the basic assembly and leveling of this device from their experience with 3D printing.Hope this helps.
