I use this product on my old computer. It's a 2012 i3 and because it had an original VGA port. And of course in today's world everything's HDMI. I just needed the port to give me video so that I can look at basic financial stuff. So I bought this add-on. That's a VGA port HDMI and to my surprise it worked flawlessly. It was easy to put in it mounted right up. Screws were excellent and I haven't had one bit of problems since this is one of those. Must buy things if you have old computers.

I sometimes have trouble connecting old signal sources from older computers to new monitors cuz they lack the plugs. This adapter lets me take an analog VGA port and audio and USB power and turn it into a modern DisplayPort plug for my newer displays. I'm using this one at 2K at 60 hertz refresh.

In case anyone is trying to use this connector on a server, I had to turn my monitor off and back on anytime the server reached a certain point in the bootup process in order for this connector to work properly. At that same point every time the input stream would stop and turning the monitor off/on would fix it. After doing this, it continued to work just fine until another reboot. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure this out, so hopefully others can avoid my mistake. Equipment was a Dell R730 server to an ASUS 2k monitor.TLDR: If not working from a server, try turning your monitor off and back on again.

Me gustó el articulo ya que en mi caso quedo perfecto de mi laptop con entrada VGA a la pantalla con HDMI.Tiene una buena resolución y se adapto bien al tamaño de la pantalla.

Funciona muy bien, la imagen es 1920x1080 a 60p Hz es lo que soporta el monitor, reconoció rápido el transmisor solo que tuve que configurar la pantalla a la resolución que en mi caso no fue automático, se calienta pero no es excesivo el uso a sido de días completos. Es justo lo que esperaba un muy buen producto y un funcionamiento excelente, altamente recomendado.

This is a rather frustrating review. This adapter works perfectly with one very major caveat: The VGA output MUST be 1920x1080! No other resolution will work. In particular it will not work with MS-DOS or any other system that cannot set the output to 1920x1080.The product documentation clearly says "1080p" but does not say that it will not work at any other resolution. I bought it in order to adapt a couple of old MS-DOS systems to a new display. Total fail for that need. At least it is cheap.If you can provide 1920x1080 resolution, then this is a five star device. Otherwise it is a zero star device.

Bought for an N54L HP Microserver which only has a VGA port. Worked great to get modern monitors connected to it that no longer provide a VGA connection. No visible loss of quality or connection issues.
