It is an excellent product very comfortable and adjustable.. I am recovering from a torn bicep tendon surgery and it so comfortable to use it helps to hold your arm in a very comfortable support position. Thank you for making this excellent medical brace and I recommend highly that you can buy this product because it’s an excellent medical brace

Update, I've been discussing the velcro issue with the manufacturer. Giving them a detailed account of my use with pictures....granted I've had to take the sling off 6 times a day to wash my arm with ice cold soapy water to minimize the itchiness due to an allergic reaction to the brand of sling (an UltraSling III by DonJoy, provided by the surgical team right after surgery...which contained neoprene, of which I'm allergic), as well as an allergy to the surgical mesh over the incision site...they are sending me a replacement sling. I've been extremely happy with the Velpeau sling and it's hypoallergenic nature and ease of use in putting on myself multiple times a day and night even. The only issue was that one velcro strip by my hand.Original review:I received this 11 days ago, the velcro shown hardly stays in place. I'm supposed to wear this sling another 5 weeks. Other than this failure, it's been a great sling.

For those who suffered severe Grades II & III clavicle fracture and shoulder injury, this is your saving grace for easing up your pains as well as your neck strain from the cheaper version of slings. Do yourself a favor and purchase this over the other ones. Here are the reasons, based on my own recent personal injuries and our other family members' past injuries.Adjustability:Most people wearing slings don't understand the necessities to have proper adjustability. The main adjustability we need to look for to ease up the burden of the impact areas is the shoulder strap, specifically, the neck strap. If you cannot have a wide range of adjustability to reduce the amount of weight pressure the injured side placing on the impact site, you're engaging the muscle groups that supposedly required to be isolated to allow the injured site to heal properly. When you have a Grade III clavical fracture, this is quite relevant.Comfort:This speaks for itself. Cheap slings dig into your neck. Even padded slings provided by the clinics and hospitals still dig into your neck. For higher quality Figure-8 sling type with the pad but only have one strap, you're placing so much stress on the neck and opposite shoulder that you need want to throw away sling within 4 hours of wearing. This sling actually generated 4 zone of pressure reduction. I'm astounded on the evolution of design to reach this point. First is the neck strain relief. The second is the should strain relief. Third is the reduction of pressure with the two added pads for adduction positioning. The last is the isolation provided by the 3-point harness from the designs. 3 days of cheap slings wearing and I couldn't even breath properly, with constant pains around my neck and shoulder. With this, I was able to achieve plenty of relief for my breathing and the injured site instantly.Just one thing to be mindful about. The mesh material is breathable. When I say breathable, it's means for the areas of your body touching the mesh. However, you will get a rash at the fold of your arm. There's hardly any airflow going into this zone. You will sweat and you will have a rash. Do yourself a favor and get a high wicking arm/elbow sleeve to prevent rash, or just a light wrap around the fold using a flexible bandage.

VELPEAU Arm Sling with Abduction Pillow. Size medium— it was great for about a week. My PT was impressed and helped me adjust it—but just over a week later, my shoulder and arm hurt more than ever! We realized it stretched out so much it was barely supporting my arm. I have all the bands adjusted as short as they’ll go, and it’s still too big. I ordered a medium based on page recommendation. I contacted company, will add what they do here. I’m supposed to wear this for a few more weeks at night and part of the day at work, but it’s too painful. (recovering from bicep tenodenesis/shoulder bone spurs removed/deltoid tear surgery) I never heard back from the company, so I’m returning it.

Update: im out if the sling now, and it held up to a lot of wear and tear. I cannot recommend this more!Ok, I almost didn't order this due to some of the reviews that said it didn't fit people with curves, but I was pretty desperate after the hospital-provided sling after my rotator cuff surgery did not fit well and seriously cut into my neck. I'm a bigger girl (size 22) and this fit with room to spare! In short: I am SO GLAD I ORDERED THIS!Pros: the design took some of the pressure off my neck, the waist strap was WAY more comfy than the hospital provided sling, and it was cooler than the sling I was sent home with.Cons: the material inside of the sling was a bit scratchy (I cut off the sleeve of a tshirt and wore it inside the sling) the waist strap was long and tended to get caught on things, a little "holder' like on a belt might help with that. All in all, this was a win at about 1/3 of the price of the one from the hospital. I can't wait to retire it forever at 12 weeks from surgery!Happy healing.

This is a quality product. First I'm an average sized 5'10" 190lb man. I had to adjust all straps to their maximum lengths just to come close to fitting. The waist strap barely holds on. The others are nearly at their limits. Only the medium is available, but a large would have been far more comfortable and useful. Please order way before your surgery. The adjusting needed and practise to put it on, will take plenty of time, effort and seriously will test your patience. The instructions are written in micro print but thankfully the Amazon video helped. Now I have to order one that comfortably fits, but it will not arrive before my surgery.
