Some people may be disappointed with the size of this replica. Velociraptors were approximately the size of wild turkeys. Never mind the way that movies represent these amazing prehistoric animals as being huge. In my opinion, this is a great addition to a collection.

It is a realistic raptor claw. For the reviews stating that it's too small it is not. The real velociraptor was about the size of a turkey. The claw made my budding paleontologist happy!

Nice toy for the price but this reproduction is tiny, cheap and made of plastic. It doesn’t look real or even like a real reproduction or a dinosaur claw. The color is some weird orange making it look worse. Fine for a kids toy but there are many better reproductions out there.Ok it was too cheap to return so I did a little file work to smooth out the molding corners and added a dark dye. It looks much better now. Still small and cheap but better.

the paint rubbed off on my son's blanket within hours of opening. he loved the claw itself, but the paint should not come off that easily . now he won't show it to his friends. very sad

My grandson picked this out and asked if I could get it. He wants to make movies and he needed it for a prop. He could barely wait for it to show up in the mail. When it did he was not disappointed. It is currently sitting as a display on top of his dresser and waiting for him to use it as the prop he needed it for. He Loves it! When purchasing this item bare in mind that this is a replica of a real velociraptor and is the appropriate size for that. Not the six foot kind that you see in Jurassic Park created that way for dramatic effect.

This is a realistic-looking actual-size Velociraptor slashing claw. It is cast from an actual fossil, and shows the exact size, shape and texture of the original, and has a nice washed paint job that brings out the texture. It is made of resin (hard plastic), so is fairly light weight. A real fossil would be made from stone and noticably heavier (though this may be similar weight to the actual claw in life).For those that rated this poorly because it is smaller than expected, this IS actual size. The reference to "Mini Claw" on the package is just the product series it's from. Velociraptor slashing claws are only about 2.5 inches long. The movie monsters from the Jurassic Park movies are much much bigger than the real animal. A real Velociraptor would have come up to around an adult person's knee, and be about the size of a turkey or midsized dog (but may look a bit bigger with its long tail and feathers).If you're searching for an authentic-looking, realistically-sized Velociraptor slashing claw, look no further. If you want something sized to a Jurassic Park movie monster Velociraptor, try a claw from Velociraptor's larger cousin, Utahraptor.

The recipient of the item was pleased because she loves raptors. But for $12, I was expecting something bigger than an inch. It was not like the picture showed. If I thought for one second that this thing was gonna be so small, I would not have purchased it. When you think of raptor claws, you don't think, pinky, or dew claw. Not worth the money and shipping paid for it. Especially when the advertisement says "life size".

Fun but small plastic raptor claw. This was purchased as a father's Day gift by my son who thought it would be a good diggingtool for my husband (ha ha!). Pretty much what you’d expect.
