The storage bag is thin and flimsy. The drum itself came with a large dent in the bottom, despite the box it came in having no evidence of damage, leading me to believe that it was damaged when it was packed up. I didn't see a tuning key, but I can go get an allen wrench at the hardware. As another reviewer stated, the "doum" is disappointing, but that may be because it needs to be tuned. There are no tuning instructions included with the drum itself.

The Darbuka is good looking and also has a nice weight to it. I didn't receive a tuning key like what was in the description. Was disappointed by the 'doum' sound as it lacked the depth. Hence returned it.

Although the darbuka arrived dented, it does not appear to have an effect on the sound. I like the look of the Anatolian Motif and the design looks like it was done by hand.It has a crisp tinny "chick" sound when playing near the edge of the rim and moving towards the center results in a deeper "thoom" sound. The low end may not be as throaty as I would like, but it is fun to explore the different sounds it can produce using varied hand techniques.

Drum is very good. Box was damaged badly, drum carry bag was ripped and zipper broken. Drum was OK.
