All aluminum Darbuka.Pros:- Good sound for price- Nice overall quality with some Caviats.- Extra drum head included- Nice case included.- Nice weight, hefty.- Nice design.Cons:- Cracked ring, chipped edge (photos included)- Looks like they applied plaster to keep crack held. Really should have been welded and ground instead.- Should have been discounted with issues shown. Should not affect playability or function but when buying new people want in good shape if buying at full price.Overall, I like this Darbuka, I only recently learned about this instrument. I am only a hobbyist not officially trained.I love the unique designs available for Darbukas. I plan to contact seller to see if I can get a discount or replacement. I don't mind keeping it since it sounds good my fear is it cracks further. Luckily it can be repaired.Update to customer service:After contacting seller they offered a 10% discount. I decided to take the discount and keep the instrument since issues don't affect sound. Plus I don't mind preparing it myself.

I wanted a darbuka to learn to play on. I didn’t want something cheap and shoddy. After some consideration I decided on this beauty. It is absolutely gorgeous and the sound is amazing.

Just got my darbuka drum and I’m ecstatic. It is beautiful and sounds great. It did take 7 weeks to arrive but well worth the wait. Arrived in perfect shape with the carry bag and extra head. Am happy with this purchase.

This is a beautiful drum. The pearl finish is very pretty and has a lot of depth to it. It takes very detailed work to create these designs from such small pieces. Besides being a well made musical instrument it is also a beautiful work of art. The finish is nice and smooth as it should be. The interior of the drum was painted black, which is a nice touch. The case that came with the drum is a nice quality case and does have some padding, although I will be very careful to avoid any bumps.The drum came already tuned and ready to play. The head is very responsive and sounds like it is evenly seated to the drum. The drum sounds and plays the way a Darbuka should. This is definitely the real deal!Thank you for making these beautiful instruments available!

En general un gran producto. Comparado con otras ofertas en internet, es una gran opción en la relación costo/beneficio.Tiene algunas diferencias mínimas en el diseño vs la imagen del anuncio, principalmente en el tamaño y forma de la aplicación de madre perla.Fuera de lo estético, el sonido es muy bueno. El "dun" (bajo) tiene poca profundidad, pero tal vez sea afinación. Los "tek" (agudos) suenan muy bien, casi como si fuera de barro.El producto incluye una funda de muy buena calidad para proteger el darbuka, así como un parche adicional (me llegó uno marca Power Beat).En cuanto el envío, pagué envío extra y llegó en dos semanas (desde Egipto hasta México). Vale la pena pagar el envío extra, lo mandan por DHL y puedes saber en tiempo real en donde está tu paquete.

I've been a drummer for 30 years but only recently got into hand drumming.This is my first time owning or playing a darbuka, so I can't comment much on playability. However, this thing is beautiful! It appears to be very well made and I'm very happy with the quality!While I'm certain that I'll need to tweak the tuning, the sound is very nice as it came and is very consistent around the head.It was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition.I hope to learn how to play it, but if nothing else it matches my carpeting perfectly and looks great in the living room! =)

This dumbeck arrived in excellent packing at the end of expected delivery anticipated date.. It is of good quality; sharp, clear sound. Great pitch. Beautiful to look at, comfortable to handle I'm not a big person. Carry case needs padding and straps not holding... be careful use the handle until you check yours. Very pleased. Did my research asked other drummers opinions before purchasing. Played many other brands and styles :)
