This was a relatively cheap item compared to others available on Ebay and locally so I wasnt expecting too much other than to be hopeful it worked OK for my job. But it is a beautiful device, so easy to use, display so easy to read, quality probes and clips and a nice cover to protect it. SUPER impressed for such a bargain price and it performed perfectly for the measurements I needed to take. I am an electrician and an electrical engineer andI HIGHLY recommend this device!

Very inaccurate machine. Reads infinite randomly. Does not compute megs for crap. Run to common gave 2.3 ohms and start to common gave 4.6 ohms. Run to start gave 7.2 ohms. This meter did not catch the shorted spots in the windings through the shellac. Had to get the supco out to verify.

Needed a 500v meggar to test out circuit integrity at my friends machine shop. Worked good. Wished it had a way to store the test leads. Good value.

Shipped out very quick. When I received it I checked all functions including the 200m ohm to 2000m ohm (all I had to check this on hand was 5 10 m ohms resistors in series and it read 50m ohms in all settings). It seems to work fine. Happy with product for the money.

I bought this to test anti-static or static conductive vacuum hoses. Worked properly and identified a hose that should have been anti-static but was not. Additionally, this will let me test end-to-end static dissipation in my dust collection system so no one and no equipment gets shocked.

My complaint is the positioning of the test leads. When measuring voltage and low (This might seem rather picky, but we're talking about high voltage, and high resistance measurements. Mistakes can result in money lost, or even injury or death. The alligator clips are a bit difficult to attach to the leads. They don't guide into the connections. You must hold them up so light shines in and you can see in, squeeze the cover to get a bit better view, and insert the probes.Having the leads under the display would make sense if using this as a bench test instrument, set on a shelf at the back of the bench. But the meter is highly unstable set vertically due to the shape of the case and it's light weight. It would take two hands to operate in this position, even if you velcro'd it down.No storage for the test leads in the cover. If I were keeping this, I'd attach a velcro loop to the cover to hold the leads. It does appear to work. I connected it to one of my old CRT high voltage probes, which is listed as being 600M ohm, this meter read 581M ohm on the 1000V/2000M ohm scale.

It was not a lot of money, and got the job done. Cost less than renting one.
