We have 3 of these meters and they work well except all 3 blow the solder in fuses intermittently. Not sure what the cause is but after changing the fuses they work fine for a time until they blow another fuse.

I have been using these meters in the Oil Field for wireline insulation testing for several years. The functionality of the meter is great. It tests at 1000V quickly for leakage and also has a discharge function. The problem with this meter is the screen. The LCD screen does not have a typical ribbon cable to connect straight to circuit board. The LCD screen is free floating with a rectangular rubber bridge with contact wires run through it. The rubber bridge connector simply sits on the circuit board and the LCD screen simply sits on top to make contact. Any knocking around or humidity will create a bad connection to the screen causing most of it to be unreadable. Simple fix is to press the screen down and try not to zap yourself in the process.

It has proven defective. I would like another to replace it. It just stslls out and must be reset over and over.
