I’ve seen quite a few of these in woodworking videos and I needed something in my shop. My favourite framing hammer is a Vaughan so I was confident in the brand. It’s the type of quality I’d expect from this company and I assume this will last for my lifetime.

I originally bought one of these to knock in all of the plugs on an ipe deck I built. It worked flawlessly and then I lost it. Says something that I bought another. The hard plastic side is perfect for hard work where you don't want hammer marks and the soft rubber mallet is as you'd expect. More precise than the big mallets.

Clearly not the "quality" I was expecting.dollar store have better one.im now scare that the head will fly off anytime soon and I use it only for small tap-tap.garbage "made in the usa"....

This is a very nicely made hammer. Has a nice feel to the handle. Made in USA too. Vaughan makes a good product. I have several types of their hammers.

This hammer has a red rubber "face" on one side and a plastic yellow "face" on the other. I used the rubber face to attach some metal end caps to a metal tube on a piece of "light commercial" gym equipment. The metal tube and end caps were both made of fairly thick metal. Because the caps (and tube) were both chrome platted, I needed something that wouldn't damage the chrome finish of the end caps. This did the trick. The Hammer claims to be drop forged and the faces are replaceable. By all indications this is a very high quality tool. Made in USA.

If you have any question about the quality/durability of this small deadblow hammer, DON'T!!! Very, very nice. Great quality, great feel, great performance. My only wish is that I would have got 2 replacement heads right away so I am not fumbling for some in the future.Great price, great buy. Made in my country, USA.
