This MIDI control has the exact controls that I want. It is replacing several more expensive surfaces. Now I can leave my DAW running in the background and have full adjustment of all my instruments. Meanwhile, I can use my PC on a different Windows desktop or even KVM to a different computer. I often live play with my screens off.I’ve purchased two with different branding. Both brands point to the same editor software website, so the manufacturer is the same, but they show up with their own brand names in the DAWs.The editor and internal software are a little bit finicky. When I open a new DAW, I sometimes have to power cycle these MIDI controllers to properly recognize them. But they have power switches! That makes it easy. These are cheap and cheapo. But they are just what I need. The faders and LED-lit buttons work well. Why can't the big name brands come up with something comparable?

Exceeds expectations even after elevating my expectations from reading reviews of people that seem to know what they are doing saying it exceeded their expectations. Sturdy build, backlight buttons, 2 inch faders, knobs are encoders not pots. Full suite of transport buttons, nav arrow buttons, MMSR and generic buttons per fader, shift button. BT works fine. If you want a sturdy, compact, inexpensive non-motorized control surface, look no further imo. Nicer than the Korg Nano imo, and I've had both. This one's device programming software is also a lot easier to use imo.NOTE that these come in Mackie control surface mode, so if you want to use it in the more generic CC mode, press both shift and lower right arrow button. For control surface mode, shift plus lower left arrow button. Or you can change it using the "MidiSuite" programmer that you have to download. You can also assign CC numbers to everything there as well, or just use its default values. The "CubeSuite" they mention in the ad is actually the firmware flasher... Get them both at www dot cuvave dot com/appdownload. No mention of this link in the documentation, or the box, or the ad...but this annoyance aside, the programmer is very easy to use and the place to change it to CC mode is in the upper right. They do provide a QR code for the software download but not much of a help for desktop users.

I do audio editing and performance as a professional, and bought this to have a bank of controllers always available. Mostly while adding various expression controllers for software synths and orchestral samples. It replaces a Behringer unit that is effectively useless to me since the Behringer offers no Mac software to assign controllers. This unit DOES offer Mac support, so thank you for that. 4 stars instead of 5 because the Bluetooth is non-functional (at least on my Mac Studio Ultra). I'm OK with that, as wired is fine, but a bit of a bummer. The feel of the knobs is great, and they have very nice resistance and touch even though they seem a little plastic"ish" to look at. I like the fact that there are both faders and knobs (Behringer has no faders) as the faders are much simpler to see where the midi cc value is. Rotary knobs on the Behringer are "endless", so you can't tell where they are at any given time. I had a little bit of setup challenge with the software since the company is not a registered developer with Apple. But once installed, it was simple to setup custom values on the knobs, and there are a ton of buttons, knobs and sliders. Overall highly recommended as long as you don't need the wireless part.

Woah. I was not expecting this to be a quality mixer. I needed something as a portable backup for orchestral composing and I usually use a nakedboards mc-8. This is quite a surprise. I was expecting $50 garbage.Fully programmable with easy to use software, immediate leading. You can do customize it however you want, not just midi cc but also note on, program change, etc. Quite flexible. I immediately set it up with hot buttons that mimic weird macros I've created for my unusual workflow.Build quality is, ahem, better than my nakedboard mc-8. Not that that thing is a tank by any means, but crazy how this thing costs 40% of the price, and it comes with 8 encoders and a ton of soft programable buttons. It's solid, I'm not afraid to travel with it.So far the only things I don't like:-the faders aren't very long. This isn't exactly a problem for me, in some ways I like the short throw--it's better for using multiple fingers. But it's not great for getting fine-tuned changes with.-2nd, the faders have a cheap rattle to them. I think most inexpensive faders will, so this isn't a surprise, but I do with it was completely solid.-no midi out, just USB midi. It's fine, I had low expectations, but this thing would be awesome as a DAWless device if it had a midi port. Oh well, one more device that needs a host.-Lastly, the fader caps are garbage. Luckily they are a standard size and I was able to spend $5 for a set of nicer ones.I haven't use the BT yet, looking forward to trying it out.I will update if the thing dies in the next few months. So far, I like it a lot more than the Nakedboards. I would recommend this to film composer and orchestral composers that need a cheap expression controller.ALSO: there are a few different listing with this product under different brands. As far as I can tell, it's the same mwave device you can get on aliexpress and ebay. I bought this one because it was the cheapest listing with a coupon. There is one with ore reviews, but I just took a chance...

This thing is a great deal for $50. The knobs are endless encoder type which takes time getting used to. I really wish there were some leds to let you know where the value of the parameter is but maybe that’s asking a lot of a fifty dollar Bluetooth midi controller with a rechargeable battery. I’ve recommended it to some friends and they also purchased and same great quality product.
