First make sure your expectations are realistic: if you’re jacked like Schwarzenegger or you play linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers then this unit is not heavy duty enough for you. But then again if you lift that hard you’re probably not lifting at home in the first place. But for the average home gym this unit will serve you well, especially if your floor space is limited. It is a bit cumbersome to adjust the width but once you get the hang of it and find the spacing you need it’s really not that bad. I used a white marker to make note of the detent holes and height settings to make setting up a little faster. The dip handles aren’t very useful because of how close they are to the posts, makes the motion kind of awkward. Believe it or not the safety catch arms work better for dips. I’ve found that it can also be used for hanging leg raises and standing calf raises as well, just have to improvise a bit. It unlocks a whole lot of exercises that are not possible otherwise. Overall it’s a really good piece of equipment for the price, but remember it’s a budget piece for areas with limited space.

Valor is one of the worst companies to deal with and will leave you hopeless when you need their support the most after your purchase of this junk!I purchased this rack expecting top quality however my expectations were quickly depreciated after assembling the equipment. Parts had paint removed and lack of, pole was bent and brackets moving with weight sitting on them. This equipment is junk! One of the post were bent which appeared to be caused by the welded on nuts in the base that were connected uneven so I contacted the Seller who instructed me to tighten the bolts on the base and adjustable bar between them. Seller also asked that I load up the bar with weights to see if the post would straighten out. Neither suggestion corrected the problem regardless of my attempts. As if the post bent wasn't bad enough, the brackets that hold the bar move out causing the bar with weights to add to the instability of this product. No one, and I mean no one, should trust a product that has this much movement as you would be taking a high risk of injury or death when this rack gives way. Sad to think anyone would manufacture something of this quality and lack the experience of what constitutes a well built quality piece of workout equipment. It's as if Valor Fitness cares nothing about the stability or longevity of their product. For over the last 2 weeks I tried to return this product to Valor Fitness and received nothing but back and forth arguing where they tried to charge me for restocking fees, return shipping fees and packaging supplies before they would send any return labels. Through out the conversations they decided to waive the restocking and shipping fees however, would not provide any boxes that were specifically designed for their racks/poles. Valor Fitness Returns Dept. pushed back on box size even after they stated to just package the items and they would send the return labels and issue my refund as soon as they received the equipment. This never happened! After I completed the packaging which took several hours and nearly $80 of my own personal funds for packing supplies, I forwarded an email with the box sizes and weights to the Return Dept. only for them to push back again and asking me to cut down the width and height of a box by 2" because it was oversized! I told them the box was already at its minimum width and height where it would be impossible to do so without removing bubble wrap and cutting the equipment.Valor Fitness never refunded my purchase even though I called with the issues well within the 30 day return policy. Excuse after excuse was given by Valor Fitness which was stalling my return and eventually not processing my refund even after proof of contacting them by email with the issue within 30 days.I say this to all of you interested in purchasing anything from Valor Fitness - DO NOT! When an issue arises and it will with this junk, you will be left holding a piece of equipment useless or at worst case will cause you injury or death that could have been prevented with you not purchasing this junk!Hope this review helps everyone make a wise decision on your personal workout purchases.

I was very disappointed in this product. After reading all of the great reviews I was expecting something a lot better. The fit and finish of this product is horrible. The welds are garbage, I can't even use the safety catches near the bottom holes of the uprights because the welds are protruding out so far. You can't rotate the catches into place. The feet of each stand are bent out of place so far that the entire rack doesn't sit level. One upright is noticeably angled inward. Also on one upright, there was an extra hole cut out which was proceeded to be filled in with extra welded metal. The 2 inch plate holders are also too big for my Olympic sized rogue plates to fit. Overall I'm very unhappy with this purchase and would not recommend this rack to anyone. It gets three stars because it is a rack and you can work out with it, but you won't want to.

Spend a little extra money and get a ROGUE. After seeing the safety arms on the Valor, I wouldn't trust it. The cost to re-ship it plus the restock fee was almost the cost of the product. You may clear $75 if you decide it won't work for you.

Pros- Very adaptable squat rack. I have this set up in my garage and it's convenient that the spotter arms can be flipped to the backside to allow more clearance for my car. Very solid, handles 300lbs without much movement. Storage area on stands helps weigh each stand down. I currently use the adjustable bar to attach both stands so I don't know how stable they would be without but like this feature so I can break everything down and move/store for more space when not needed. Paint is good, holes well placed. Hooks/dip handles are designed well and can be inserted in front or back for dips. Assembly was fast and intuitive btw. Product was shipped on time and in great condition.Cons- other then not having a pull-up bar, this rack is great for my needs.
