I'm not necessarily downing this item. I tested all of these items monitoring continuity and I did not see the short as expected. Not sure if I was using it wrong or what... My continuity meter was a FLUKE multi-meter...

Basically these are what they say. Identical to the ones Adafruit sells as Medium Sensitivity for $1 each as far as I can tell.They are most sensitive at right angles to the can. Least sensitive end-on. The difference is quite a bit so bear that in mind when designing your sensor.The signal output is very noisy as you would expect from a spring bouncing against a wire. So your software will have to take that into account or you will get a zillion transitions per hit.Does not seem to trigger on movement only on impacts perhaps that is just the spring stiffness.Overall a good product that I intend to use in the future when needed.
