It requires a tool or device to install in seconds form one side of the work. Once installed, no finishing work is required.
The added benefit of not only being a dependable fastener, they are ready to use with clean threads available for screw attachments.
The material is too thin to machine the thread.
Blind Rivet Nuts also are used when an application has little or no access to the backside as they can be installed from the front side of the work piece.

I needed to replace the welded nuts for the front and rear bumper mounts on my ‘66 VW Beetle, these did the trick. I also used them to add REAL threads on the aftermarket vertical bumper over-riders on the same car. Worked like a charm.

Used a dorman brand tool to set them. It’s basically a bolt with a nut on it like some others have said they used but all is working fine

This product is amazing. Nut weld broke off inside a vehicle frame and the only option was to cut the vehicle body to get access to hold the nut. With this product we were able to mount a suspension bracket back without cutting the body. I was very happy!

the set of snaps was a mismatched bunch of random snaps and fasteners thrown together. there were no instructions and the pieces did not match so could not be put together. the best part was the box. Also, it took weeks to arrive. i was also not sent a return label when i wanted to send it back.
