Unless I misunderstood the description, it should close contacts when temperature goes below 5 degrees celsius. This means that water in my chicken waterer should never freeze. It does. If I misunderstood something, please let me know and I’ll update this review.

This Uxcell KSD 301 Temp Switch repaired my Melitta Drip Coffee Maker (Model 8CM-4C). The red power light would light up when switched on, but it failed to begin to brew. After emptying the unit of water & unplugging it from wall power, underneath I had to remove a small but deeply recessed anti-tamper screw with a triangle head. ( I was able to grind down a worn long screwdriver point into a small diamond for this purpose. ) The base came off easily & a multi meter showed the factory installed temp switch (from 1997 ) had finally failed. The original temp switch hold down bracket fit the KSD-301 since the replacement switch has a "floating" holding bracket) even though it is slightly different in appearance. My coffee maker had a tamper resistant torx screw holding the temp switch bracket in place. The 2 electrical spade terminals were the same size & quick to swap.I went the extra mile and put a dab of thermal glue (also from Amazon) underneath the new KSD 301 switch during installation. I tested it & brewed coffee the following morning. With just an hour of taking my time, I saved my 28 year old great little drip coffee maker from the dump and I still have another spare KSD-301 temp switch if this one fails prematurely. An easy job with just a screwdriver and another win for the environment.Note: temp rating for temp switches to "pop open" are sometimes stamped somewhere on the switch with a letter "T" and the number of temp. degrees that the switch will pop open. Look for it (or a mfgr part# ) before you order a new one in order to get the correct temp range switch for your application,

Works as expected. Appears to be well made. The contacts are solid and don't float around like some I have seen.

Be careful to check the terminal width. Too big for my application. Yes, I can change the connectors, but I don't want to...

Simple quick fix for my Pur Garment Steamer. Much better than buying a brand new steamer. I am so glad Amazon had this economical replacement part available to fix my steamer.

This was an easy replacement part used to fix the bad one in my wood encased floor based heater. My heater came on for a few seconds and auto shut off. Turned out that this was all I needed to replace which was almost $100 dollars cheapper than finding a new one.

This N-O switch fixed the constant shutdown of my 1970s space heater. It is a perfect match to the original as seen in the photos. I only gave four stars until I see how long it will last. I will update if it fails. If no update then consider it a five star.

My hot tub heater stopped working. The Hot tub parts supply companies want $150 and up to replace just the heating coil. Not the entire heater, thats much more money. Since it doesn't work any more, I desided to tear it apart, and see what I could find. One of these was imbedded inside a solid filler that was poured in as a sealer from water and moisture. I removed all the filler and replaced the Thermal sensor that had blown out, with this thermal Limit switch. This was my 2nd attempt...I previously purchased the same product with the wrong temperature rating...It needed to be 194º F. This product cost me around $8.00, for two. You do the math, on how much money I saved.

Using as a backup hottub high temp cutoff. The original one became unreliable. For the price, I can put a couple of these in serial and not have to worry about my kids boiling over the hot tub
