Update: I'm updating my review because I initially thought that the uxcell ER20 collet was the culprit. Turns out it was actually the cutting tool. I previously returned this collet, and purchased an Amana collet that's worked flawlessly for me in the past. and the exact same thing as described below happened. After cutting with the tool, the tool literally fell out of the collet once the spindle came to a stop. Therefore, I've updated my review of this product. I was absolutely wrong in thinking this was the issue. It was not.Do yourself a favor and stay away from these. The price looks good, but I guarantee you, you're either going to destroy your spindle or worst, potentially hurt yourself. These collets are not balanced, and spinning at the RPMs they're intended to spin, can be dangerous. I've purchased over 25+ collets from Amana, and decided to go with these in a pinch, since the Amana versions would not get to me in time. I've never heard my spindle sound the way it did. It was obviously as soon as I heard the sound that the collet was not balance. I knew it wasn't the collet, since I've never had an issue with them.I use Hozly ISO20 collet chucks, they are very well balanced, I normally combine them with Amana ER20 collets, which work perfectly. This was the first time I've heard my spindle sound this bad after using one of these uxcell collets. I immediately stopped the spindle, put in one of the Hozly, Amana combos, and the spindle was practically silent. This is a testament to how balanced the Hozly, Amana combo is.Spend the extra few bucks and purchase a better quality collet. I would ask Amazon to remove these from the store, given how potentially dangerous these could be.

I went for 3 years with the original collet that came with my machine. Now I’ve gone through 4 of these collets. All 4 fit differently, some loose and some tight. Poor quality not worth the value especially if one of those bits ever go shooting across the room!!They let my 1/2” spiral bit actually pull out . So, never ever again will I purchase these.

You can see the runout with your eyes. I thought I had bent the endmill. And they were both bad. By comparison, my Techniks, have near zero runout with the dial indicator.

You get what you pay for. Not the best collets but work for now.

Incomplete slits, chips hanging off. These are completely unusable. Sadly I bought these and put them away. Return window has closed.
