Suitable for processing holes. Used for tapping aluminum, die steel, stainless steel, bronze, hard plastics, etc.. Recommended feed rate: general steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min.
Self-centering point, do not need assistant center drilling or center punching. Quick change 1/4-inch hex shank can be used on power tools more easily and securely. A tapered end on hex shank can prevent excessive tapping. It exceeds the tap to prevent thread breakage from over-drilling.
High speed steel tool has high hardness and toughness, wear resistance and heat resistance. Titanium coating provides excellent corrosion resistance, greatly improves wear resistance and hardness, and reduces the coefficient of friction.
Use on drilling machines, tapping machines, CNC and milling machines. Use with tapping oil to get higher quality threads and more durable taps. Machine taps are suggested to be used with tap collets with overload protection.
The torque caused by too fast feed speed is too large, which can easily cause the tap to break. Taps are prone to chipping or breaking due to speed overload or non-vertical tapping. Micro taps (such as M1-M3.5) are mainly used in clocks and watches, tapping wood and soft metals with lower hardness.

I bought a kit of these drill and tap bits, the first time I ever used them. No more predrilling with a drill bit that is CLOSE to the one you need. Make a center punch hole, then just drill and tap all in one motion. So much time saved.

Got two drill taps, have yet to try them. One was a m8 the other a m10 marked m8. I figured I could use it so didn't return them.

Complete trash, they snapped after taping a couple holes each going into 1/8 steel. They felt cheap so I predrilled before attempting to use them and they still broke. Ended up using my manual set to finish the job

I was using these to drill and tap 3/16 aluminum angle and they did work well , but broke when I had two thicknesses doubled up. Given what I was doing I don't feel it was the taps fault it was mine. I would buy again however I would use a 6mm instead of 5mm which should work better for my application.I have bought many UXELL products in the past and I have been very happy with their quality.

These are very brittle. I had a hole pre drilled in some aluminum, as soon as I went to use this it snapped immediately. Hand tapped worked just fine but these are junk. I’ve used these type of taps a lot and never had a problem

While the fit, finish and measurements seem very good, I find that even when using this to clean paint out of holes on a steel rack, the taps will easily snap even in a 12-volt drill set to a light torque setting.

I needed to thread the center hole of a bunch of 2020 extrusions. I found it cumbersome and difficult to keep a normal straight tapping by hand. I bought these and put them in a drill/driver. Each hole I tapped came out perfect. Much better than the ones I did manually using a tee handle. Even though I wasn't drilling a new hole the drill end helped to keep the tap straight for the threads. Just take your time, tap slowly, use some oil and brush the tap clean between uses. I tapped around 3 dozen hole and the tap still looks new.
