Easy Operation:
Step 1: Solder the IC socket to the PCB circuit board.
Step 2: Insert the chip into the IC socket, finish.
The IC socket is the carrier between the chip and the PCB circuit board, the chip can be pulled and inserted directly without soldering to the PCB board.
Noted:
The spacing and line spacing of the connector holes must be the same as the spacing and line spacing of the chip pins.
Advantage:
When you need to install or replace the chip, directly remove the connection between the IC socket and chip, achieving the effect of saving IC cost and time.

If you've ever desoldered an 8 dip EEPROM chip, you know you wish you could have just popped it off without desoldering in the first place. After desoldering, I've installed several of these in various vehicle instrument clusters and they're super nice for installing/removing the 8 dip EEPROM chips to read/write to. They solder up nice and provide a good socket.

Many bent pins! some seriously.. placing all 15 into a single small ziplok bag, then wrapping the bag tightly with thin foam wrap .. might look like a good idea.. but, it isn't. Amazon then placed them inside a package of photo 8.5 x 11 print paper in a stiff package that was intended "only" for the paper! The package then bulged .. so the items got smooched ... well, it was an Add-On item .. so, I guess they mean, if they could shove it into a corner of an existing small package .. that's added on... Amazon also included 3 "other" somewhat flat items .. each on a prime acceptable purchase. Now I know why Jeff Bezos is the worlds richest man...

Good value - works well. Pins are a bit on soft wide so be careful not to accidentally bend them.
