Product Description

IC Socket
6

Easy Operation:

Step 1: Solder the IC socket to the PCB circuit board.

Step 2: Insert the chip into the IC socket, finish.

The IC socket is the carrier between the chip and the PCB circuit board, the chip can be pulled and inserted directly without soldering to the PCB board.

Noted:

The spacing and line spacing of the connector holes must be the same as the spacing and line spacing of the chip pins.

Advantage:

When you need to install or replace the chip, directly remove the connection between the IC socket and chip, achieving the effect of saving IC cost and time.

1

Feature:

Great electronic component for PCB board, IC socket has strong heat resistance, it can withstand repeated welding and disassembly without damaging the chip.

These "round hole" IC sockets, sometimes called "machined," look and seem nice. But, the holes for inserting the pins are very tight. If you are stuck with the thinner IC pins that are common on ICs nowadays, you will probably bend some trying to insert your ICs. In other words, make sure your IC pins are very straight and aligned before trying to press them into these sockets. Otherwise some will bend. and, as happed to me, break. Sad to say, the cheaper IC sockets that only contact the outside of the IC pins, are easier to use and more forgiving. I have over 40 years of experience using IC sockets, and these are the most difficult to use I've ever experienced.

If you're looking at these wondering if it's the socket you need for a Honda ecu, it is the one you need.
