Hand Reamers

9CrSi (Alloy Tool Steel) Tool

The 9CrSi steel is a low alloy tool steel and low speed cutting tool steel. It has high hardening capacity and high tempering stability. Good for wide ranges of applications.

Straight Flute

Straight flute tools allow chips to collect in the flutes when cutting. Well suited for most applications in shallow cuts. For reaming cylindrical shape holes.

Easy to Use

Can be hand operated by use of wrenches. Great for light cut, repair work, or simply for enlarging holes. Always keep reamers clean, and used with machine oil for long service use.

Tips

Reamers are with one or more cutter teeth. Finished product can be smooth, intact and more beautiful. Reamers can be used to process holes in small cuts based on guiding function, such as: holes with diameter tolerance in ≤IT8; holes with requirements in surface roughness (≤Rz12 generally); holes with requirements in roundness tolerance; holes with requirements in cylindricity; stepped holes (different diameter holes on the same axis); series holes (diameter holes on the same axis) with requirements in high coaxality.

For a low cost reamer it did exactly what I expected it to do the size was spot on I have no complaints if you want to spend more on a high-end dreamer you definitely can do that.

The cutting edges were uneven and jagged, which left a super ugly finish. I bought both a 3/8 and a 5/8 reamer and even in soft material, taking only 8 thou they would grab unexpectedly and violently. The 5/8 one managed to break the shear pins in a reamer holder, after it grabbed about 3/4 the way up the taper of the reamer. Uexcell has sold me many fine products in the past, this unexpectedly is not one of them.

This is a hand reamer with a hare drive head. It will not work in many large chuck drill presses. Unless the chick is very deep so as to grab the shank of this drill. Cutting 2000 series Aluminum is ok for this reamer.
