Did what it supposed to do. Drilled a hole then screwed it in. Still there to this day.

I was affixing some eyelets to a 1/4โ steel frame I have on my roof deck to use as anchor points for a shade sail and I tried using some basic self-drilling screws I got in one of those packages with 150 screws of various size and lengths. I snapped about 80% of them.So then I got these and they went in like butter. I did end up drilling a pilot hole first though as itโs difficult to keep these dead on and try and drive them directly into the steel. I drilled a 3/16 pilot with a cobalt bit first and then put these in after and itโs working great. I was able to drive these with much less torque than the other cheaper screws and had zero issues with them. I think having the tapping line run up the length of the screw makes a huge difference versus others that just have it at the head of the screw.I havenโt tested the staying power and load strengths, but for my needs Iโm sure these will be fine as Iโm not putting a ton of load on them. Iโm also not sure how well theyโll hold up to the elements, but the galvanized stainless steel should be fine. Iโm probably gonna paint over them anyways to add some protection. The only thing is I wish these had the rubber/neoprene washers. Easy enough to get them separately (I just took them off the screws I got in the assorted size pack), but would be nice to have them come with.Glad I found these though as they worked perfectly for my needs when it wasnโt very easy to find similar fasteners at a reasonable price.

My husband needed screws to go through metal so we decided to buy these. Oh my gosh, so glad we did. The screw went through the thick plywood and metal. You will not regret buying these screws. Totally worth the money. Very satisfied.

I was a bit skeptical that these would penetrate and if so then not snap off trying to repair this sagging shroud under our 5th wheel trailer. I needed to secure the plastic to the steel beam and these worked better than expected. I paired the U-Turn 1 1/4โ 1000HR Coated self tapping screw with some #12 1โ Neoprene EPDM Bonded Sealing Washers to give it a good bite when tightening. The rubber adds a bit of give to the plastic when tightening so you donโt tear right through it like you would with a normal washer. Without a washer providing the 1โ surface area the screw would just tear right through the plastic. It took a bit of force to drill the hole before the screw punched through but it was easily manageable. I used about 10 without a single one snapping off. Highly recommend!!! For the price Iโd give it a 6th star if I could!

I don't normally write reviews, but these impressed me. They QUICKLY drilled through 1/2" steel and held tight. My only suggestion is to use a drill rather than a impact gun. I broke the tip on one with an impact gun and swapped to the drill after that. I put about 40 into 1/2" steel without a single brake. Fantastic screws!

These screws have the heft and drill length to attach things to a 1/4 inch structural steel post. I apply some anti-seize on the screw threads to help with corrosion. They don't seem to have any anti-rust coating, but they seem to be holding up well outside. I may paint them later to help.
