I recommend these clamps when changing out a tie rod, especially on my 2004 Chevy Cavalier to tie down the boots that cover the tie rods. They are the same ones GM installed on my car.

I recently did the CV boots on my 3rd gen Tacoma. The OEM boot kit (per axle) comes with one big clamp thatβs different than the rest, so I bought this clamp kit to replace that one. This kit worked great and I have two clamps left over for the next job.

This set of 4 clamps were the same cost as 1 set at my local Autozone and they were easy to install.

Cheap rubber boot was a little smaller then the original. No grease fittings for tire rods

I made the mistake of throwing away the clamps that came with a universal joint boot kit...in my defense I'm gonna say I don't know better π
, Anyways I got these and I'm so glad that I'm all set. They're tricky to install if you don't know what you're doing and if you don't have the right pliers So yeah π―ππ So far so good they look strong and seen to be holding very well around the boot. I'm not a mechanic and have no experience but can spot this is a winner. Also I get to try Amazon prime for 30 days sooooo convinient when you mess up things they were here the next day. ππ

I used these clamps to hold my CV boot on after replacing it. This clamp seemed to be of good strength and quality upon inspection. It went on just fine and crimped down as it should, everything seemed to be going well until I took it out for a test drive to make sure everything would hold up. When I got back, the clamp was found 10 feet from the parking spot it was in before the test drive. It snapped on one of the corners of the part that crimps together to hold tension. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.
