It's almost 2V off spec (about 1.8V higher than what it claims). So make sure you measure and you check your application to make sure it can tolerate the difference.

I searched for a replacement alarm system transformer as my old unit was becoming noisy. My system upgrade actually required a power pack with a higher rating than the 25Va it originally came with. Not only that, the same brand I had has apparently been shipped to an overseas manufacturer. The reviews have been very bad here on Amazon. UTC is a US based company with quality standards. I had to search the internet to find its exact specs, and once plugged into Amazon, it showed up. No other search I had performed her turned up this supplier.Once hooked up to my system, I completely eliminated the noise and heat produced by the original, 25 year old DSC supplied unit. At that point, I felt comfortable enough to add more battery capacity in the event of power outages. Get this unit, it's first rate!
