Prior to purchasing this, I tried a PCI-e Wifi Card, m.2 wireless card, both did not work for me???? I tried the included drivers and ones downloaded via the internet. They both were not recognized like stated, I had to return both. I made sure they were compatible with an Intel Motherboard, they were. Did not work. I plugged this in and windows recognized it immediately, I clicked the network icon and saw my network, BINGO! Should have purchased this first. Great connection, no issues at all!Remember if your PC is far away from your router/modem, you may possibly get low bars/low connection. If that is the case, you can buy a usb extension cable and hang it or place it closer. They run a few bucks but make sure to measure how far in length you will need. I purchased a 4ft usb extension cable and stretched it very close to my modem. For my situation I may have not even needed to do that but I wanted to make sure it was a stable connection.Plugged in Internet Speed - 363 mbps AveragePhone Wireless Speed - 65 mbps AverageThis USB Wifi Speed - 138 mbps AverageI tested these more than once, to compare. For what I am going to use this backup computer for, I do not mind the USB Wifi speeds being lower than the plugged in speeds. Could possibly be a setting in my modem/router to speed that up, I am not sure. I will research that in the future.

The product worked as plug and play. My desktop needed a wifi upgrade to a 5g wifi connector. Worked well and offers great customer support if needed. The shipping on my end could be better since products always cost twice as much totaled. Gaming capability meets the standard.
Good quality but needs lubricant

This thing increased my wifi speed on my desktop down stairs by like 10 fold. That might say more about the old one than it does about the new one, but I'm still very pleased. It's a little weird they put the drivers on a disc, but luckily I have a laptop with a disc drive. Also windows automatically got the driver anyways. I will need it for my Linux though because Linux did not do that. Overall very worth the price if you're pc is far away from your router.

Product works as advertised. Good speeds and signal.Windows 10 was able to detect and install the drivers with no internet connection, which is always a huge plus with any USB network adapter.

I am a return buyer of this product. I bought my first Nineplus 1300 Mbps WIFI adapter a little less than a year ago and it has worked well for me. A few weeks ago I was offered the opportunity to test their newest model The WIFI 5 AC1300 wifi adapter and accepted the offer. My review is a little slow in coming because I had a personal busy schedule the last few weeks. My set up is pretty simple. I use the T-Mobile 5G home internet network. It is tied in to my home network which distributes the signal to all my devices. I do this to isolate my home system from my internet provider so if I change provider I don't have to reprogram all my devices. So, my incoming signal in the best of circumstances may be as high as 250Mbps. With my prior Nineplus unit I got speeds as high as 160Mbps at my PC in my network. This was very satisfactory for my needs at that station. The upload speed however was constraining and was often less than 5Mbps.. I realize that the speeds are a function of network loads in my network and on the T-Mobile network so I tested the system at multiple times with a variety of loads. The numbers I am quoting are for late night conditions when nothing much is going on in my network and when the T-Mobile network is probably not stressed. The new model has shown a download speed increase of around 8 to 10 percent. But the real improvement is in the upload which at times has been over 10Mbps doubling the prior unit's performance.Such a big increase in what I had found to be a major constraint moves me to give it 5 stars.
