DESCRIPTION
The USB to HDMI Adapter is used to transmit the video signal from the USB port of the computer to the HDMI port of the display device to realize the extended display and mirror display functions.

HOW TO USE

Tip: Press the key combination [windows + p] to easily debug more functions.

DRIVER FILES
Driver files are stored on the adapter's internal flash drive.
MSDisplay_v1.0.0.18 is only for Windows OS
MSDisplay_MacOS is only for MAC OS
RESOLUTION
Video resolution via adapter supports up to 1920 x 1080P (Full HD)
NOTE
Transfer the video signal from the computer's USB to the display device's HDMI, not from HDMI to USB.
It does not support chrome os / linux os / vista os / fire stick

I run karaoke for a living and have done so for 28 years.In the laptop we use, the HDMI port is and or has gone out.Thus, video became an issue.In a scramble for time, I ordered a same-day delivery, tested it at home and used it at the show. Everything was great, but the storage in the adapter that has the driver went corrupt, and was no longer visible.In the instructions, it states that in Devices and Drives on your PC, that you will/should see a drive where the driver for the adapter is.Luckily, in the instructions, there was a 2nd way to download the driver on Github.com.Although, there was an unnecessary 2nd step in order to download it since a prompt stated the file was 'too big' to see. Which seemed odd…Anyway, I found the most up-to-date version of the driver which differed from the one that came with the adapter, installed it, and now it worked, but the next day had to install the driver again.I think windows defender is possibly removing it for some reason, and this is not uncommon for Defender to do.Since it has done this with legitimate programs with me in the past.If this happens to you, allow your antivirus and or whatever protection you use to allow the driver.Or possibly face similar issues as I did.While I got it to work, I hope this review helps others who may experience similar issues.

I have windows OS and the first thing that popped up was a malware warning. I located the adapter on my laptop to see why the flash drive was not opening automatically. When I manually went to open the drive I could not do so. The malware warning went away once the adapter was removed. Thank goodness I didn't update the drivers!! I'm sure I would have ended up with the malware package on my laptop. Horrible product that does not work as advertised. 0/5.

I saw other reviews but was like eh screw it, I DID have to install it without being able to see because I was trying to hook up my mac without a screen to a separate monitor, it took roughly 45 minutes of clicking into nothing but I did it!Honestly It's annoying that you have to install a sketchy software but eh it works and I don't care if that computer gets spied on it sucks 😂

no user guide on how to make it work for macbook. not working on macbook as plug and play. tried on windows and their too it ask for drivers which i could not install as driver comes as cd drive and now a days laptop dont have cd drive.

Like the description, using this product we can extend our monitor using the usb 3 port but didn't last long as per the description, the product is under warranty but don't know how / whom to contact to get the product repaired. The product stopped working with in 2 weeks usage.

If I restart my computer after installing the driver as instructed, it does not work, but if I install the driver then skip the restart prompt it does work. Not a dealbreaker, could very well be a Microsoft issue, but currently not quite plug-n-play

This thing rendered my personal laptop inoperable. It made my screen flash and I couldn’t use the laptop, so I reinstalled Windows on it and it was fine for about two weeks. The screen started flashing again and this time I couldn’t reinstall Windows because it would not download past 64%. I thought the laptop had just run its course and borrowed a friend’s laptop. I used the adapter a few times and everything seemed fine.I used the adapter today to work from home on my company issued laptop and as soon as I opened the drive for the adapter, messages started popping up saying malicious software was detected and the program was terminated. After a couple of hours, I could no longer connect to the internet, despite having a strong connection. Then cybersecurity pings me on Teams and tells me my laptop has been disconnected from the network due to Trojan like behaviors running in the background and my laptop needed to be brought into the office to be reimaged. Once there, I was told the adapter should be plug and play without the need to install software and the fact that this one is not, is suspicious. It’s too late for me to return it, so I’m destroying it before putting it in the trash.

I have an older Dell Latitude laptop with only 1 HDMI output and I didn't think I'd be able to run dual monitors....wrong! This adapter lets me connect a second monitor via USB and it works flawlessly.
