While this looked just like the photo (DB25 connector cabled to a USB connector), my parallel device refused to identify in Windows, and the driver loaded in Windows 10 for this device was "USB Printing" something or other, I forget the exact name, but it was generic enough to give no clue as to what I had actually received. After drilling down in Device Manager and finding the Device ID "USBVID_1A86&PID_7584&REV_0254", which Microsoft refused to admit was valid, I reverse searched on the Microsoft Update Catalog until I found a broad range of drivers, the links to some of which were dead. After some head scratching, I noticed that a few of the listed drivers were for SERIAL ports, and downloaded a random one that still had a valid download link. If you, too, wind up with one of these, download the driver for a "DENSO WAVE Active USB-COM Port" and voila! You, too, will have an unnecessary COM port (COM5, in my case).Yay!Now what am I gonna connect my Diamond Rio PMP300 to?
