I love my new CD player. Since my 2024 Kia Soul cannot play CDs, I was so happy to spot this alternative. All I did was plug in to the USB port, and it worked immediately. The CD track info appeared on the screen and I was able to adjust the volume and select the track on the touch screen! I can finally play all the CDs again!

I got this for my sister who is very old-school. She doesn’t like the new stuff in the new cars. She’s used to a regular CD player and this absolutely does the job. It’s also great for those of us who were brought up in the 90s. and it is very easy installation as a matter of fact, there is no installation.

I admit I was worried about ordering this, but it was a great deal. The device works perfectly with my new 2024 Rav4 Toyota and I only needed to add a USB extender cord to it from the spare parts box in my basement to get it to sit on the dashboard, behind the vehicle's computer display. It was also really easy to install. Once I plugged it in, the device simply showed up as another music source on vehicle's display. It also played my old music mix discs that I burned ages back on Windows Media Player as well.

They say three times is the charm . . . well, after 2 previous purchases/returns, I found this unit and the product literature gave me little to doubt in its compatibility with my vehicle's media center. Since the 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid has only C-type USB ports and the player is hard wired with a standard USB cable, all I needed to get was a USB-A to C adapter to connect to the media port. Plays my CDs perfectly, even driving over speed bumps or hitting potholes!I highly recommend this player for all Toyota drivers. Since this technology is not universal player to auto media source, I can't say it'll be compatible in other car makes. The sellers here on Amazon can assist if you aren't sure your car's system will play the device. My guess is likely most cars 2020 and newer will support it .

Car: 2020 Kia Soul S Unboxing: easy Hookup: easy Fit: perfect in that little cubby just above the gear shift when it's in park (I had a small Stanley sticky pad that now secures the unit) Powering Up: you gotta let it power up for a good 30 seconds then if you have already stuck a cd in...just eject it, count to 5 and put the cd back in...boom Size and fit: it's kinda fat...but in my car that turned out to be an asset...no tape and unit secured Playing and Viewing Tracks: plays fine but there is (so far) no cut info (song title etc. I mean, you can see track number on the screen, but that's all, you can move forward to next track or go backwards) Sound Quality: excellent Skip Bump: None no issues...and I ran it over some crappy areas in my neighborhood Value: I was confused about the different models that looked the same but had different prices Satisfaction: on a scale of 1 to 10...about a 7.5 GOOD LUCK (more later, I just got this thing)

OAUW USB Portable CD Player will plug & play easily with Windows 11 Home PC. Will not play when connected to USB 2.0 in 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali cab. Sierra radio USB display 'USB No Connection.' Have to return unit and keep trying to find portable CD Player to comply with USB Mass Storage Class specification MSC USB 2.0 MP3 to play WAV extension music. GM stopped putting Single CD Player in vehicles after 2017. Now they use Apple Play or Google.

Agree with another reviewer, kind of has a mind of its own. Setting up was easy, appears solid. Worked for a couple of CD's then would skip, then wouldn't connect again. Would eject CD's randomly. Same type of behavior with car and with computer, tried a few different days, different CDs too. Had to return it, which is too bad.

This CD external / Portable CD player added to my 2020 Ford F250 in about 15 seconds. I plugged the USB into the lower dash USB port and then went to 'sources' on my vehicle display touchpad and selected the USB that it found. Then the sound from the CD started and I could see the track number on the vehicle display and was able to forward through the tracks with the vehicle controls. The tracks take a few seconds to read so you can't just press the track forward button fast through a bunch of tracks. This worked on my Ford Sync 3.4 system in a 2020 F250 but I do not know if it works on other systems or other manufacturers. It did read the track titles and display them on my unit. I also used a USB extender cable in order to give the short factory cable room enough to reach my glovebox. Prior to ordering I did validate that the USB port on my lower dash was a USB data port into the system, per the online vehicle manual, and not just a plain USB charging port. Otherwise, it won't work. It's 'A' solution to the manufacturer not putting CD players in the vehicles anymore. I have hundreds of teaching CD's that I want to hear while driving and don't want to spend the time converting them to mp3's and putting them on a thumb drive. We all have our preferences and this one that took 15 seconds is my preferred.
