I bought this mainly as an affordable Hi-Z instrument preamp, and it works well for that purpose. It has a true hi-z setting that sounds good with electric guitar. Someday I will use this for microphones, but I can’t yet comment on the sound quality using mics. The gain dial is touchy, it increases gain very gradually until the end of the knob’s clockwise travel, where the gain jumps very quickly at the end. This shouldn’t be a problem with sources that have decent output, but on a quiet source you might have trouble nailing the best gain setting. It does get a bit noisy at its maximum gain, but I don’t know what circumstances would require its maximum setting.

I picked this up to use at a relatives house to record some tracks and having forgot my usual interface. This did the job as well as my over a hundred dollar interface I use at home for only 40 bucks! Once I selected it in the asio4all control panel and reselected asio in reaper daw, the software recognized it, allowed configuration and recording, easy-peasy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to get into music recording on the PC for cheap. The phantom power worked fine with my tascam condenser mic as well.

To start with I'm not very experienced with studio style audio. Always been into home audio and car audio and have wanted to get into studio recording and higher quality audio with my pc. All around though I have been fairly happy with this and not sure I would spend more for the more mainstream interfaces. Here's my goods and bads;Goods:-Sound quality has nothing to complain about, 1:1 audio as far as I'm concerned-Love the combo 1/4 inch and xlr plugs, gives plenty of options for a 2 channel interface-Great design love the basic black and white color scheme-Plugs and dials feel great quality-Love the peak lights and how responsive they areBads:-Not the most user friendly setup for me with the filtering and loopback features-Gain dials are very touchy and don't leave a lot of room for adjustment as my mic dial is just short of all the way up and any further it peaks and any less there is very little to no signal-May be a computer issue but every now and then there is a popping noise that can be heard out of nowhereOverall this interface is worth the money if you have the patience to set it up correctly and definitely matches the quality of the name brands even though i can't pronounce the name. ;)

No drivers. Claims it doesn't need any but my DAW don't work right with it. I works for regular windows recording but so does my laptop mic.

This was very simple to connect & it works for all the things I wanted to run, guitar, & vocal. It's made very intelligently. It has low latency capability. It is small & lightweight & fit right into my sound set up. I'm very pleased w this upgrade.

Worked pretty good for the first day. Only annoying part was this weird static noise. The seccond day I have it after properly adjusting all the settings for the best quality. The sound is very static and loses a lot of quality. Not only that all the features on it are not too good at all. I recommend buying a audio interface (for music purposes) from a different brand.

I was so excited at first because of the price, two mic channels, and comparisons to the focusrite. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it to come on at first. When it finally did come on the audio was very low and when turned up it gave feedback. Very little headroom. Then it showed up as a digital keyboard?? But couldn’t hear the keyboard. Turned off everything and started over making sure everything was connected properly and again, it wouldn’t come on. I immediately boxed it up and returned it.
